Jessica wasn't her best that night.

I'm nor really into American Idol but having a Fil-Am win would mean something to Filipinos. She would also be the first Asian to win AI if she does. Since the Demographics of the people watching AI suggest that they are female tweeners, my guess is more about the guy the girls want to date and the girl the they want to be. I guess we will have one more week to find out right? OT: Its good to know you are still going strong in mylot. Haven;t been online for a long while.

hi lk! i was so worried. contestant's choice of song can be a hit or miss thing. more so for the judges' choice and jimmy's. all throughout the entire season... judges and mentors alike are talking about song choices that could make or break a performance. i was worried for the song choices because 2 out of 3 is out of the contestant's hands. they could give powerhouse songs or just so-so ones. and the song choices for jessica did not appeal to me much. my all is so sultry, sexy and mature and not appropriate for jessica. i'll be there is not even a stand-out choice (jimmy was right to comment that it isn't a build-up song). but even with her less than stellar performance due to poor song choices and sore throat... she still sounded great even if subdued. even if she wasn't at her best, even if she wasn't the best... she still made it to top 2 in the finale. and i'm so relieved! and so happy! and so excited! hehe congratulations to jessica, phillip and joshua (3rd placer). i believe that each of them deserve a spot in the finale. but of course i'm rooting for jessica. goodluck to both jessica and phillip in the finale!

Didn't saw your links today, your friends here will really be wondering how bad he performance tonight is. But anyway, I saw her My all performance and that alone, I said it wasn't her best. Never thought she has sore throat, but the judges comments were great even if we knew it wasn't the best Jessica could give. She'll definitely be famous even if she doesn't win the competition. She already captured so many hearts and has gains millions of supporters. It's already as good as saying she already won even after the season ended.

I guess we will have our 5th white guy with guitar winner in a row. people of color and females may never win American Idol again. But who knows a miracle may happen. Its like a pattern in many seasons where the final 3 are 2 guys and 1 girl with the girl not making the finale. winning is her her only hope to get a career in the us, if she doesnt win, well she will have a career in Asia.

Yeah it is not her best last night due to sore throat that she has.But good thing that her fans still voted for her and she is in the top 2 now.Can't wait for the finale showdown with Phillip next week.Good luck Jessica.

I'm not worried for Jessica. With sore throat, I think she did pretty well. Except the Ill be there song. I didn't like that. I'm still praying that it will be Jessica and Joshua in the finale. It has to be them. American Idol is about singing and Jessica and Joshua are more gifted voice-wise and have powerful voices compared to Phillip.

Well I agree I don't think Jessica was as good as other nights. She also was the only one not to get a standing ovation. I think it will be down to the two guys I truly hope and pray that Philip wins. I know that Joshua has a better voice then Philips but its just that Philips is his own person and I love the way he will change up a song to make it his own. That is a true sign of a singer/musician in my book. Joshua is more of the church singer and you can only go so far when it gets to putting a CD out. Philips is more versitile in my opinion. I was voting for Philips last night and I usually can vote alot for him but all three lines were busy for the two hours. So I didn't get to vote as much as I wanted too. We shall see what happens tonight!

Yeah, it was all over the news how she wasn't her best that night. But i think she still sounded good and the judges still praised her. Good thing it was enough for the people of America and one bad night didn't ruin her chances of getting in the top 2.

Not a good news for me... I haven't seen the performances yet. Hopefully when I reached home later, you tube will run fast. Am waiting for the Internet connection upgrade in the room where I'm staying now... can't enjoy much watching on you tube that is why I am not updated on what's happening on Idol now. I don't know why guys are winning Idol now... I am still hopeful she'll be the next Idol. If she gets voted off, it's still okay, she has a talent and surely she'll get a record deal somewhere.

Hi LetranKnight, you're absolutely right. The song choices for Jessica especially "I'll Be there" were not songs that give justice to her prowess and of course not suitable at this moment of the contest. Just like Randy Jackson said, Jessica did not have her moment with the last song. At this portion of the competition when only 3 are remaining contenders is the right time to sing those powerful songs that endeared her to the voting public. However, let's keep our finger crossed, she might still make it. Philip Philips gave an outstanding performance and Joshua, well he always did give his best.
