Eating while someone is waiting.....

That usually happens Ardoy, specially during lunch time. I always experience that, and i take my time eating because i know if i hurry i will experience LBM! I let them wait. AT Max's and Dencio's they have a lobby for waiting scustomers. AN usherette is there to assist them, while they wait for tables to be vacated. But if that happens to me, i don't like to wait beside the person while eating. I would rather go to other food outlets.

Oh, yes. I don't like it too, I mean-I can't enjoy my food while seeing people waiting or looking for vacant seats. I am not that rude to keep them waiting as well. That is why I do not like eating in fast foods. Me and my friend always choose fine dining than fast foods when going out because we don't want such things to happen. And, we like to stay for few hours too chatting while eating and enjoying new foods as well.

It is true that you sometimes feel uncomfortable eating in front of people while they are waiting to eat. However, I do think that it is something that we all have to do from time to time, only in fancier situations, you aren't sitting right in front of the people that are waiting to eat. The fact is, there will be seats that are available pretty soon, and you shouldn't feel uncomfortable finishing your meal the way that you want to finish it.

Times like this customer needs to ask assistance from the waiter if they don't have enough seats for them. IT's impossible that they keep on giving dine-in orders but then seats is not enough. There are instances wherein the table is good for 4 but only 1 or 2 seated. So the other seats can be shared to someone else instead of waiting the table to be cleared. Have a great day!

I've experienced it many times in different restaurants/food chains. Normally when there's a mall sale or it's Christmas/Back to School season. It's really awkward because sometimes we feel as though we need to rush and finish our meal as soon as possible so we can give them a seat. Sometimes we do that too, waiting beside someone's table as we got no choice because all people without tables all do that and if you don;t do it - you won't have a chance to sit and eat.

Nothing even remotely close has ever happened to me although I can imagine the situation could get really awkward but you know If you think about it while you're eating it really seems like a petty issue. I mean it just eat at a place that is after all meant for that . In fact if you stop eating after you've started because of the awkward feeling then that might just make it all the more awkward. It might help if you start talking and divert their attention to thing that might seem a lot more important , or start pretending that you really don't feel that it is such a big deal after all and everyone might just ignore . For instance I went to this really fancy restaurant and I dropped some food while eating at first my face went red and I felt really embarrassed but then I started pretending that I really am okay with by continuing talking about we were initially talking about and it felt a lot less uncomfortable . I know it really doesn't compare to the thing you were talking about but out of the things that have happened to me this was closest . I hope it helps.

Personally, this is one of my Pet peeves and something to me that is considered past annoying. Because in general, especially since that is within a mall area I am sure there is more than one place for someone to eat, and if they had no seat they could have either chosen to go somewhere else, or patiently wait their turn. No one should have to run you off just because they're hungry.

I often experience that when I visit one of the popular chain restaurants in my country. There is usually a long line of people who wait to find a seat, and I can't help thinking about them when I eat my food. I try to finish my food relatively fast when I know that a lot of people are waiting, because it is annoying to wait for a long time when you are really hungry. When the weather is nice you can buy your food in the restaurant and and eat it in the park instead. I often do that if I see that the restaurant is very crowded and it seems hard to find a place to sit down. A bench in the mall is another option, but sometimes it is hard to find an empty bench in the mall.

i know that does make you feel bad, and i feel it kinda mkaes you feel like you need to rush and you probsbly dont eat as long as you normaly would and i would feel bad if i did talke longer and most likely rush thru my meal.. we dont hardly ever have that problem so im tahnkful for that, our kfc is not that popular and we seldome even go there ouself and usualy we go thru the drive thur,m we going to tak my grandson to chick fila tomorrow i cant wait i love there waffel fries yum.. take care :)

I don't know if I could ever ear with those people standing and looking and waiting for you to finish your meal. It's a good thing you have your co-workers with you because you won't feel that much awkward because you can talk at anything and not noticing that much people waiting. While as for me, I have experienced this and I was alone. It really very awkward and you really wanted to just ask the staff to pack your order and eat it at home instead. I hate it, I just hope food chains don't let customers in their store when they know it's full so they won't be bothering those that were already eating.

Yes, i know the feeling, and i do not like it too. It is unnerving and awkward since i am a slow eater and i do not like people waiting for me at all..it is a bit embarrassing, it also makes me eat faster.

aha ,you know each KFC in China is like what you said, lots of eyes are watching you when you are eatting and it can really make you feel comfortable .The only thing we can do is just eat fast ,so people who are watching you can be watched by others.

Don't know all details or the region you live in but where I come from, I truely believe that my money I spent on my lunch is as good as their money they are going to spend on their lunch. You got there first and have every right to enjoy your lunch at you leisure. If the other patrons want to sit down to eat they have two choices...get there earlier (like you guys did) so they will get a seat before the dinning room fills up or...two...get their order to go and sit in their car or a park bench maybe. I am sure that you work hard for your dollars, same as I do so don't be intimidated while spending it. Enjoy!!! Good Luck:-)
