I wish my monitor is “touch screen”

How I wish the monitor of my desktop and laptop are touch screen, being able to enlarge anything on the screen with just a simple flick of my fingers. Being able to drag and drop files easily, that would really make things work easier. But I want to retain the use of mouse and keyboard, they are still attached just in case I get tired touching the screen. Maybe in the future, most monitors will also be touch screen. How about you, have you also wished that your monitor is touch screen or you already have it?

I think touch screen will be obsolete in a future years, because it was the wrong direction to take things in. I would rather computers gain more voice activated commands, because then you wouldn't need your hands at all.

Yes, I believe that would be in the future. But first before the voice recognition generation, touch screen era would dominate for a quite long period of time. Well, it's nice to think of the future. Great things to expect. Thanks for responding.

Microsoft does have a programme where you can use voice recognition, and there's better stuff out there but you'd have to buy the software. I myself tried the one by Microsoft but it didn't really work well for me, like too many mistakes it made so I just disabled it. I have Windows 7 now but when I was using the programme I was using the Vista operating system.

Yes that's why I think they need to develop the technology some more. You see it happening with the new Smart Phones. Apple is plugging away at it's new voice recognition features, and I know other companies will follow as people understand its so much easier to tell a computer what to do than to use your hands to hit the prompts.

Hehe, but the monitor I am wishing for is just like the ordinary one wherein you can control using mouse and keyboard. The only difference is the added touchscreen ability. So it will work both ways. Thanks for responding.

The technology is already out there with touch screen cash register equipment and a rising number of tablet format devices..if not available already, then it's only a matter of time until you'll be able to shop for your Dream Computer!

Yes, touch screen is starting to dominate. And for sure touch screen monitors for PCs will also be widely available soon. That would be a dream come true. Thanks for your response.

Yes, also all-in-one computers are starting to be more prominent as well. This integrates the touch screen into the desktop monitor as well as eliminating the need for a tower or a box, it is all right there in the monitor. I think that all-in-one desktops, like the iMac, and some that Dell makes, are really cool!

It would be much better for you to get a tablet which has USB ports so that you'd have the option to use a USB keyboard and/or mouse in case you feel like it.

Can we use mouse to a tablet? I'm not sure but if we can, then yes a tablet can be a good alternate to what I am wishing for. But still, it would be better to have a desktop monitor which has an option to use mouse and keyboard or just use its touch screen ability. Thanks for your response.

No I don't have a touch screen monitor. If you want you can buy a tablet and when you want to go back using keyboard and mouse then use your pc or laptop again.

Aw, yes that would be the thing to do for now. That's nice thinking of you. But I still want a pc monitor that is connected to a CPU with mouse and keyboard but touch screen at the same time. Well, I'm sure there will be something like that in the near future. Thanks for responding.

I am not very interested in having a computer with touch screen. Since a desktop and laptop are still different from the tablets. Our hands shall raise up if we want to touch the screen to the desktop or laptop. It will be tiring if you operate it for a long time.
I love China

Yes, that would be very convenient, especially for my wife since she hates using the mouse since she can't make it point to what she wants. She even wants an ipad.. technology today is fast advancing that pretty soon we may have touch screen for everything.

I'm using a tablet pc and that is a touch screen,it works like android and that is most a touch screen.I can use mouse too.Easy and convenient android support.
In my office I'm using Lenovo monitor which is touch screen too, a wide range of touch screen device in the market now.And that make works and accomplishing task easier.
My laptop is not a touch screen because its very sensitive once I'm doing my office task. But my tablet and my monitor I'm using a touch screen for easy access.
Maybe you can have one in the future.Save for it.

That's what I want as well, a touch screen monitor but with the ability to use the mouse and keyboard at the same time. It'll be nice to just quickly reach up and touch the X button to close a window instead of wiggling my mouse around to find the arrow (I'm visually impaired and so even a big cursor with a tail it's a bit hard to see sometimes. I think there's some software that can be downloaded, probably expensive, though.

Hi
I am having iPhone. And its touch screen is just amazing. So if I can have something like that with monitor screen then it will be surely great.. I guess some from my family will not like it, specially my dad as I know he would like to continue with current system.. So it will be different opinions.. But personally I would enjoy it.

There are many tablets and phones with touch facility and all of them are very sensitive. The technology is much developed and we can expect that there will be touch screen monitors soon.

Yes, I am also aware of that, in fact I also have my own. That's actually the reason why I wanted my desktop monitor to be touch screen as well, because I get accustomed with my touch screen phone. Yes, we can really expect that there will be touch screen monitors in the future. Thank you for your response.

I am not very much interested in having a touch screen monitor. I am already contented with my present laptop and a mouse. What is important is that I can communicate, I can do my work and also play sometimes.

It is much easier and fast to use a touch screen monitor.
The technology is developed more than we expect, i cannot
imagine the new generation creation of computer and his devices.
Much easy, but more expensive.
I just wanna wish that i not away from latest technology.
