Jessica got me disappointed tonight..

though there is a huge chance that the 5 headed WGWG may happen, there is still a chance she might still in cos she still get positive reviews to some Americans,Vote for the worst is really hardcore against Jessica, They already say things why PP should be voted, sorry to PP fans but a 5th WGWG is kinda dangerous for American Idol. WGWG always got abandoned by fans after the contest, a person with a more loyal fanbase in the US should win... David Cook, Lee Dewyze, Kris Allen are all abandoned by fans and dropped from their record deal.... Scotty cant chart outside the US(actually he cant chart outside the southern states) Kelly Clarkson,Carrie Underwood, Fantasia Barino and Jordin Sparks are still relevant in the charts. so yeah Jessica winning is the best thing for the show because keeps idol from being obsolete. Its actually for the sake of the show. people had already moved to the voice and X-factor. but I already accept the outcome if the WGWG trend continues.

I voted for Jessica for weeks now.. I knew she was going to win and was sort of shocked that she didn't. However, I knew with all the hype here in GA over Philip that he might just win... and he had lots of people voting over and over for him. I was voting nearly 50 times for Jessica when I voted. All in all.. I'm happy with the outcome. I love Philip too. He is a star and so is Jessica. She may even be more famous than Philip. Look at Adam Lambert.. he is much more famous than the guy that won and I can't even remember his name... he's not all that famous in my mind if I don't even know his name.

I stopped watching AI ever since Adam Lambert wasn't chosen as a winner even though everyone could see that he was a better performer than Kris Allen. Even Ryan Seacrest was disappointed with the results and even predicted that in less than a year people will forget Kris Allen, which became true even if Adam tried his best to lay low to give way to the AI winner. So even if Philip Philips win the title, Jessica may still be the winner in the end when her singing career flourishes like other AI contestants who never won the title but have albums up till now.

hi lk! how much of a choice does one have when 2 out of their 3 performances in the finale night... they cannot choose for themselves? first song was chosen by executive producer simon fuller. second song was contestant's choice as their favorite performance in the season. third song is an idol winner's song written for them that will be released as a single if they were crowned as the season's best. jessica's first song "i have nothing" was a power ballad by whitney houston. jessica did great but i remember shannon magrane performed this the week of top 13 and shannon was in the bottom 3 (female). i don't know how simon makes his choices, but even phillip's stand by me... may not be an excellent choice too. between the 2, personally i'd say jessica performed better. but i would have wanted, again personally, an even more powerful song like "listen" for jessica. for the 2nd song, i don't think jessica could have chosen "i surrender" and "don't stop the music" as you have suggested. they were not part of her performances this season. according to her official idol interview/diary, her favorite performance is "stuttering". now i wondered why she did "the prayer". but it is an emotional song and she still did great there. but i missed her do-or-die rendition in the top 40 that made me cry. phillip's "movin out" is also not exciting for a finale material either. my personal choice for jessica would have been "everybody has a dream" coz some of the lines there are quite apt for the finale and she did have a standing o that week she performed it. but many say that her "and i'm telling you..." would have been powerful or "dance with my father" would have been quite the emotional numbers. but personally between the 2, jessica did better in round 2. for the 3rd song... who gets to choose really and how can they tailor a song to the voice and character of a singer/performer in literally less than a week? "change nothing" and "home" are not exciting numbers for them. and i don't know who did better between the 2. perfecting a song takes time. releasing a single with less than a week preparation to study/learn, rehearse, record, perform live... that's just crap. i can't imagine joshua singing either songs either. hehe but this is just my opinion. please don't be disappointed with jessica. some forces are not within her control. she did sing great given the material. what more could we ask of her? as part of the audience, it may look easy... but to be in the contestants' shoes... come on... it may not be a showstopper-kind-of-finale... like a jessica-joshua showdown could have been... but putting a show together for less than a week is not an easy feat. i had hoped that their prep time could have been longer, and song choices more diverse, and performances should have the full-length versions like the studio version. i'd say goodluck to both of them! whoever gets crowned in 15 hours or so, deserves it... be it jessica (my favorite) or phillip.

I agree, it wasn't one of her best once again. It's sad because she's already there and only one step away from the gold. They could have gave her a song choice that would suit her best and that would let her shine on the finale just like PP's songs. With all the band and the lightning effects of PP's Home, it made him really really shine and looks like we've got a winner then. But then, it's the people's power to decide, let's just hope all our votes were enough to let our idol win! Win or lose, Jessica's a winner already. I even heard she and J.Lo will be coming to he Philippines this November for a concert, hope it really does happen and I hope they will come to Cebu

Well, for me, it's like this. Jessica wasn't all that bad at all last night as the judges said. But this is what they do in order to tell you who they want to win, it's already apparent to me who will win this evening, they did this to both Colton and Hollie. They have been pushing for a Jessica and Phillip final two and now I see them pushing for a Phillip win. I would bet on it. I'm only watching tonight so I can see Colton possibly sing and with a cool group or musician. I'd also love to see Steven Tyler play with the entire band on there, Aerosmith. That would make me happy, I don't care to see PP win.

I just read the review about this on yahoo.com, i have not seen the video to be able to tell if she did great. but as for the choices of song i have read here, those are quite common ones why did she choose that? anyways base from the review on yahoo.com the end part says that Phillips did well on his song HOME... let us wait for the results!

I liked her first song but wasn't feeling the rest of her songs. I'm not a fan of Phillip Phillips but really liked the rendition that he did of the Bob Seeger song last week. Can't understand why he didn't do that song this week.

dear LK, I can say she's cute when she's still younger (lols) She reminds me of Lea Salonga- who knows, if she can't make it to the AI, maybe something bigger is waiting for her...

The song does matter. I haven't seen this but I am sure the other guy did better because I think Jessica still needs to grow up when it comes to showmanship. She has little of this.
