Every person has stress nowadays due to work, friends and family, we must not let those stress to overcome us, firstly is our mind, we should not set a high target if we cannot achieve it, friends and family play a vital role in our life, therefore we have to choose a right person to get along with, we should exchange opinions in a humble way, we need to eat right and exercise and not just work only. Doing yoga and taking a walk in the evening can reduce stress and keep us calm.

I agree with your ideas of fighting stress with exercise and some types of meditations like yoga. I believe they would help a lot in reducing stress in our lives.
Sometimes some changes in our life are necessary to be able to create less stressful conditions. Like for example in my case, I was in a lot of stress working in companies with a lot of pressures all around. I changed that when I decided to find a way to work at home, and now I'm comfortably working at home with my online jobs and businesses...with much less stress to deal with.

prashu228:
Stress differs from age to age for people. Upto 20 it may be stress due to studies--21-30 stress due to job or love , 31-40 stress due to job and family, 41-50 stress due to career expectations being not fulfilled, 51-60-70 stress due to finance, marriage of son/daughter/health.
We must understand the cause of stress and try to eliminate the root cause. But identifying root cause is a tough exercise. Once we know that things will become easy.
also have less expectations from others regarding love, finance etc. and stress may come down.

hello friends,
yes , i agree there are different levels of stress. one have to learn how to handle it, according to the situation. well we all have some or the other expectations in life, about children, parents etc etc..can we really stop expecting anything from others?. Any individual in their life will have some ambitions and expectations , how can we run away from such situations? i think this is really impossible, to stop expecting in life..
but no harm in trying, i strongly feel all expectations should be under control, we should change our mind set, and keep it in control so that , we will be happy..

The most important thing that you should do is think about the reasons that you're getting stressed. If there is something wrong with your job, then maybe you should talk to your boss and think about changing to a job where you would be able to be happier in the work that you had to do. If you're having problems with family members, then talk to them about it. You also need to be able to find ways in which you can manage your own stress as well, as there is no point in suffering when you don't have to. I always find that exercising is a great way to be able to get the unwanted stress out of my system, and it means that I am able to get fit at the same time which is obviously going to be a good thing for me.

I am really experiencing a lot of stress at my work since few months ago. Emotionally, mentally and physically. But I tried to be ralxed because it will made a very big impact on my health and personality if I will get to it too serious. When I got home, my son is one of the best stress reliever. Whenever I see him when we got home, wth his just smile, I somewhat feel relieved. Cuddling with him really make me somewhat forgot those stress from work.
Another idea to releive from stress is to think of some happy momments and always pray to God to guide you surpass all the problems you encountered.
Have a nice day!

hi,
i too heard about this , that playing /spending time with children is a good stress reliever, and remembering our happy moments in life is always helpful to us. spending time in temples , or spending time with the loved ones is always helpful, it enhances our positive thinking and helps us to move further in life.....

Yes, by having cuddles, plays with my son, I somewhat forget stress. Sometimes, I also used my passion to release stress, cooking.
Just think positive. After passing thru those problems that gives you stressful life, you will have a worry-free life. They said that "there's always a rainbow after the rain.

Ah yes stress one of those things that does tend to really happen to even the best of us. Much like anyone else out there, I have experienced my fair share of stress right out there. In the end, it is just something that many of us have to deal with. On a case by case thing, dealing with each individual thing that stress causes, one thing right at a time.
In the end, I just make a list of the things that are bothering me, and I try to see what I need to do to deal with them, without causing me even more stress. There are just going to be a lot of times where I just need to a step back. There are just going to be many times where once we just deal with these things, then the stress, while not disappearing, becomes less.

Well, now i talk with my friends and try to find someone that can understand my situation now.It is enough that you still have someone care about you and love to share with you.Try to listen to some music and thus i suppose these two would really work out.

I don't think people in the old days suffered from less stress, I think they knew how to handle it better. Imagine what life was like during WWII, all the countries were fighting each other, supplies were short because they were needed for the war, men were separated from their families and there was a possibility that they might not ever return. Times are always stressful, but the difference between now and then are that back then people were not afforded the modern conveniences we have today so they had to work hard for everything they had, and that built character in them. Now we have machines that can do all the work for us, and we have lost a lot of that moxy and ingenuity that makes people handle stress so much better.

One documentary that I watched said that people before were easily contented with their life so they experienced less stress. Modern people tends to worry about everything even for things that are not happening yet. Honestly, I'm one of those. Since graduating college, I started worrying almost about everything like work, love and family. Then one day i just realized I'm missing something important: enjoying my life.
During stressful days, I usually eat my comfort food which is ice cream. i also go out with my friends since they can easily make me laugh. I also spend time with my family, treating them sometimes makes me feel also good. I also enrolled in a gym since sweating is also a good way to relieve stress. :)
