Resident Evil (Movie Series) is different from the canon of the Game Franchise?

Hollywood often changes the way things are depicted in the movies. If you have ever read a book and seen the movie based on the book you will see when the screenwriters take liberties with the original idea. Sometimes it makes the movie better, but often it makes it worse. In the case of Resident Evil, I like the woman they have in the movies. I think the character is very charismatic and interesting to watch, but at least they have kept some of the elements from the game in the movie, and that's all you can really hope for.

Yeah, I think a mylot member told me that the protagonist in the movie is not really that main in the games.. Even Jill had a bigger part.. but i have not played any resident evil game. I wonder why they changed it..

yes i agree resident evil movie version is reallyy different from the game story..in my opinion the game story is much better than the main plot of the movies branded resident evil...but you know they always change the main plot when they convert a videogame story to a movie..

I haven't watched Resident Evil but what my friends told that it different from the games released and it's quiet boring, watch it if you are only interested in some stupid action. The action is quiet bit like some one else is playing games, you have to sit and watch without getting hands on to joystick. After hearing that, I thought of not watching the film ...
