Hello my fellow-mylotters,
In our younger years we have a dreams..A lot of dreams ..What would we like to be when grown up..
When we were in our grade school our teachers and parents asked about what would we like to be when we grown up..
When I was young, the age of 5 when I started dreaming to have a career of myself when I grown up..At first I want to be a teacher before.cause I find being a teacher would be interesting and that I can teach children just like my teacher.
But as I become more mature that dreams changed and start dreaming a new one until I reached the age that I need to decide which course and career I have to take.
So the first dream I had was not my current career now.I find there is another career fits me rather than to be a teacher.
How about you my fellow, have you ever dreamed before? What have you dreamed of? Have you follow your first ambition in life..or took something else? What ambition you had when you was in your young age?
I'd love to hear from you..Have a nice day everyone!!

I do have lot of dreams when I was young. I really thought that I can't go to college during that time 'cause we are 5 siblings in the family. I prayed and work hard. Times passes by and finally I graduated in college with a bachelors degree. It feels great.
Being a professional is the greatest success that I ever have. Everything runs smoothly till I got married. I thought I'm already in heaven and will not experience again the bad side of life. Financially, spiritually and emotionally stable but something went wrong. When I got married I felt like I'm in calvary. REally don't know when I can experience real life again with complete happiness. I really missed my being me. Teary-eyed.

@reco369: We do have lot of differences. We argued on little things even for the dosage of paracetamol that my son need to take when he's having fever. Arrrgh. It really hurts. What is most painful is everytime he posted on his facebook timeline that I'm not giving him freedom. Freedom to be with his friends, Freedom to be with his parents, freedom to enjoy life with other people. My point is we just started our life as married couple. We need to work hard and find ways to attain stability in life specially on financial matter. I dont want my son to suffer in the future for our failures today. He can have all his freedom that he needs as long as he provides us the stability that we need too. I, myself is suffering too. I need to unwind for sometimes but I refrain myself in doing so thinking that I have so much responsibilities in this family that I have right now. Is it that hard for him to understand?

Life canĀ“t be lived, and fulfilled unless we have dreams, and more important, struggle to make this dreams into reality. I remember a lot of crazy dreams when I was young, almost all, includes a high potency car, by the way, but, time settle down things, and eventually, I chose the option that fitted me best, but, things does not end there, I keep on dreaming, on improving my life and keep on struggling as well

Hello albto,
I'm glad you've chosen the right career that brought happiness to you now. Some dreams we have when still a child sometimes unbelievable and sometimes impossible to happened but as a kid we think its easy and fulfilling in a very young age. As we become mature we dream of something else.
And that I'm happy you did the best choice.
Thank you for sharing friend..Thank you for being here.Have a nice day ahead!

I never really had a dream. I just followed what others think I should take as a profession. But as I grow up I came to know my hobbies and what I found is that I can't be in just one profession. Though I took Information Technology right now (yep, I'm still in College) I don't plan to actually be an IT for the rest of my life. So instead of "I wanna be a computer specialist in the future", my dream is now "I wanna be rich in the next 5 years". Now, how is that for a dream?

Oh YES! the younger lot carry fanciful ideas and notions in life to its extremes. They desire all the comforts modern living could provide to them. They aspire for turning their long cherished dreams and ambitions to come to fruition. They would not mind effacing those hindrances that strike and mar the achievement of their desired aims and goals. It is dreams all the way for most young people all over the world.

Hello sukumar,
You are right for young age we learn to dream of something,we want to achieve things and to make dreams come true.Because the desire of fulfilling those dreams can make something we desire become reality.
Its good enough that children dream of their future it helps themselves to gain knowledge and strive for their future.
Thanks for a wonderful and Have nice day!

When I was a child, I always thought that I would like to be a teacher. However, as I got older, I soon realised that this was not what I wanted to do, because the role was a lot different than I thought it was going to be when I was at school. I then decided that I would like to own my own shop, but this is something that I have never been able to do yet because I just don't have the money to be able to do it. I wish that I could win the lottery, as it would be a lot easier for me to achieve my dreams. There are lots of things that I would like to do with my life, but unfortunately you can't always do these things if you don't have money.

Hello Gemma,
Indeed that's exactly what I wanted to be but it changed gradually when I get older.
As you said that is not we want to do so there might be something we are interested in achieving and fulfilling.
Winning the lottery is a dream for everyone I hope you can have your dream come true..
Thanks for sharing and Have a nice day!

a pleasant day cloud31,
before i have dreamed and aspire to be a doctor. that due to my weak body condition, i aspire to be a good one to cure my own self. but for some reason, i was not in line to that. since, my parents told me, they can never send my other siblings to school if i will gonna pursue what i want. so in this regard, i have try to search for another course to take. until, i cannot think of a substitute, so my mom decided one for me. i was enrolled and graduated on the course where she brought me to, and this is accountancy. being graduated at this course is great but since it is not my heart desire so i find it hard to deal with it. although i did not have a failing marks during those years. the consequence is that, i was not able to passed the CPA Licensure Examination. as a result, whenever i am applying to an accounting position, they always puts me under a clerical one. mind you, this is not what i ambitioned long time ago but it is already done.

Hello Sheila,
Being a doctor is a great profession. But as we know it cost a dime to study medicine..
But what you have graduated was a good choice though just it has to be inline with job interest to make it work.
Anyway hope your happy with your career now though your childhood dreams was not fulfilled."
Thanks for sharing and Happy myLotting!

As far as I remember, when I was young my ambition is to be a Pilot. I wanted to drive jet planes. We lived near an air force military base, planes are flying over our house, my father is a military officer, my elder sisters were being courted mostly by pilots and military men. That maybe the reasons why I have dreamed to become a pilot. But as I grow older, that ambition slowly changed. I am now engaged in a computer related industry. But still, I am become a pilot, not of jet planes, but cars. Lol. Well, with your career now, I am happy that you became successful. I know more blessings will come on your way. Just stay good and humble. Always take care and have a great day! God bless!

Hello Harold,
To be a Pilot that was nice, to fly an aircraft and take people from places to places.
I can see a lot of pilots and that I simply admire those who can control the plane engine as it was actually an easy job.
But anyway I know you may not be a pilot now I just hope you have a successful career now in replacement of your dreams when you was still a kid.
Thanks for being here and Have a nice day Harold!

The only thing I wanted was a lot of kids.. my elder sister and I always said that is what we wanted, an orphan house of our own is fine too. It never came that far. Although I have 5 kids of my own and been a foster mom for over 11 years and am thinking about being one again after all these years.

At age 5 I didn't even know what a career was. I didn't answer the question what do you want to be when you grow up. I honestly don't remember grown ups asking me this question. In my teens i was too busy playing music to think about a real career. All my dreams had Nothing to do with money And most of them came true by age16. so when people asked me what was I going to do after school finished I would say sleep and watch hockey. And I'm still the same way. I don't have a dream job although I love my job. Oh, I did get to sleep and watch hockey!

I actually think that it would be quite abnormal if we weren't able to dream in our lives when we were very young. From the time that I was able to talk, I said that I wanted to be a baby doctor and that was a dream that I held onto until I was in my junior year in college. It was at that point that I decided that I wanted to work in the nursing field because it didn't require as much school and would afford me the time to be a mother as well. I worked in the nursing field for a couple years and loved it, but I also had a daughter by that time and when my second child came along, I decided to stay at home with them until they were both in school.

Hi Cloud!
When i was a kid, we were told to go up the stage and say what we wanted to be. I said i wanted to become a teacher. I cant remember why i said that, maybe because my mom coached me to say so hahaah; either that or i didnt appreciate any other profession because teachers were all i see hahah!
Then came the senior high school and its time to choose what I really wanted to be. Mom pried again and told me to take up medicine. Oh well, i still am undecided so i then followed her whims and struggled my way to get a license in medical technology. Graduating years of my bachelor studies came and its time to decide if i would pursue medicine or not; then my mom whispered again.. go go medical school. Then i thought... nahhhhhhhhhh ma!!! I dont think my brains could handle more of cadavers hahahah! I no longer pursued medical school because i felt that my parents are very old and i dont want them to work any further just to check if i can give medical school a try. My parents are very supportive but i just felt that i dont wanted to burden them thats why i have decided to find employment.
