First, basic math is very useful. But why should we learn so difficult math? I just hight school in grade one and we learn all kinds of functions, such as Quadratic function?Logarithm function?Index function?Triangle function, etc. All kinds of formulas, theorem. Sometimes I think that why should we learn these, They are unuseful for my dailylife. Our math education torture people. It too difficult fou us. So we don't need to learn so diffcult and what's your opinion?

We learn math because for some of us, it is the primary field of knowledge to be learnt as a pre-requsite in our career choice. For example, if you grow up to be a mathematician, or an accountant, or a salesperson, you will need to learn about math as money is concerned with mathematics. On a further note, if you are opting for a career-path such as engineering, then you will defintely need to know your math, because 'architecture' requires the toughest level of math as you need to know the fundamentals of triangles, circles other geometrical shapes as well as logs and integration and differentiation. If you become a sound engineer, then you need to know how to plot graphs. If you become a computer engineer designing programs, math will tag along to help you. So I guess it really depends upon your career choice as to how much math, if any, need be learnt. Doctors have no virtual use for mathematics, so if you really hate math, and like science, then you should become a doctor. Now hit the books and pracitice your maths!

Hi, actually, I like math and I have a good scores in it. But I want to complain to my classmates who are tied by math, In fact, they needn't learn too difficult math. The fact is that math services for exams, it deviated from the actual, so we all think this is a burden. I hope it can change!Thank you!

Actually we need maths in our daily life. However, yeah as the questioner pointed out some of the topics are useless. But hey, it's always good to store up skills as they are less bulky and when you need them, you have it and can put it to great use. ;)

We need to learn math. We use it all the time. We use it when we are trying to figure out how much money we have. We use it to find averages for example an academic score or average. We use fractions when we want to equally give family or friends the same amount of food. Personally I like math because of what it does for us. It is extremely useful. More than a lot of people give it credit for. Math is useful in many fields, a lot of career paths that seem attractive have a big use of math.

If for no other reason (and there are some "other" good reasons out there) we should all study math and learn as much as we can, especially young students because we're being left behind as a nation. A lot of companies are hiring engineers outside of this country because those other companies are producing engineers in greater numbers than we are. Our engineers are very intelligent, but we don't have as many as some countries out there such as China, Japan and India. You may not want to study for a mathematics degree but I think we should encourage higher levels of math courses for our students.

Hi, you are right and I am in favor of learning math, it does help us a lot. But each student should have their own thinking and we lack of this. Study is to actual application and not for the exam, isn't it? So, I hope it can change. In addition, I like math thank you :)

Hi ! Though these things(level of education) are not useful in our daily life even than we have to learn,it is just because these helps us to enhance our level of knowledge and make our mind sharp and more over it is useful to some professionals, when they execute some task in their professional's life. Though it seem isn't useful to a simple person but he/she has to learn at the high school is just to decide to turn his/her life in which way thereafter.

First and foremost, I think that math isn't the only difficult subject in school. In fact, the other subjects that we need to take up ever since could also tend to be difficult, or boring, because this was how it has been labeled since time immemorial. This kind of perception had somehow an effect on the minds of other students who would encounter it, and therefore will also turn out to give effect on their understanding of the lessons involved. It's something that could be mind over matter; if we think of it as hard and boring, then we will certainly see it that way. But if we do it the other way around, that it could still be enjoyable despite the circumstances, then I am positive that it will become easier for us to face the maths. Anyway, somehow it could be agreeable that the higher maths like Calculus couldn't have an exact application on our everyday lives. But it is still imposed upon the curriculum of the schools because there still remains a possibility that some students could end up majoring in the related courses or concentrations. And not only that. Even when we couldn't end up taking a degree related with math, studying math itself could certainly help us in honing our logical and analytic skills, which we will certainly need in our everyday lives not only in computation and arithmetic stuff but in other matters that we get to encounter in the near future, like in some serious decision-making. We may not be aware of it, but we actually need the math to help us in some ways, although it couldn't directly turn out as a helping hand, per se.
