If you are from philippines.. 2dollar per hour is not that bad I guess. Maybe next time just make it 3dollars :D

hahhaha.i feel bad. i was putting $.70 for an hourly rate.is it too low.maybe i just misinterpreted the suggestion that i must put a low rate at first for a newbie like me.

As I have not used Odesk I am not 100% sure what rates are on there. However I do understand the workings of the human mind. Most people "that you would actually want to work for" is looking for the middle range. Basically the average person does not want the lowest per hour person, as that says a lot about the quality of the person. Nor does the person want to pay high end, as they do not know if that person is going to be worth the money. So look over the range of pay and put yourself in the 3-5 range. Where 1 equals lowest pay and 10 equals highest range.

OK. Well, if you're comfortable with that, that's fine. However, being new doesn't mean you have to start that low. Just my opinion though.
