Dwayne Wade took a picture of a lady's feet and tweeted: "Ladies, don't wear these shoes. It's unacceptable!"
That lady was wearing a ballet flat shoes! What's wrong with wearing those shoes? I know high heeled pumps are sexy and all, but hey, I don't want to wear killer shoes when i'm watching a basketball game. I just want to wear my comfy shoes!

I kind of researched a bit about this supposed tweet of Dwayne Wade but it seems that the picture was taken at a party of some sort? Not sure though. Well, it seems that they seem repulsive for someone like Wade, but when you come to think of it, ballet shoes are like the comfy counterpart of heels, just of course, without the pumps. Anyway, I find it rude that he even had to take a picture and tweet about it. It's inappropriate and immature for him to have such a remark. Anyway, I don't wear heels that often, almost to not often, actually, since I find it more comfortable wearing sneakers and ballet flats to work. Not much of a dress code out there and since I want to be comfortable and also be able to walk from office to home since it's the only way I get to have some physical activity, I would rather be wearing flats than be having blisters for wearing heels. Heels should only be for parties and formal places, and ballet flats should be all okay on casual settings.

And to add to that, I think they were in an event so the girl should have been wearing heels. Still, Wade doesn't have the right to take that picture and tweet about the whole thing.

Thanks for the info. It's not mandatory though that everybody has to wear heels at a party. And yes it was very rude to take a picture of someone's shoes and post it in public and make such a very bad comment about it.

Men seem to think its their God-given right to tell women what looks good on them, and what doesn't.
They seem to think that a woman's only purpose of dressing is to look good for or attract a male. Those type of men suck!
I'd love to see what is so fancy about Dwayne Wade's footwear!

He's so full of himiself! Never liked him that's why i don't like his team as well. But this discussion is not because of Wade alone and how much i loathe him.
I totally agree with you. We should look good because we want to feel good and not to please those men!

My husband used to complain with the way i dress up. I like looking pretty not to get people's attention. I just like looking at myself well dressed and comfortable most of the time. He got used to it, he's no longer complaining now. My son would make some side comments though once in awhile.

EXACTLY!!
haha don't get me wrong, I'll wear the things that I know my partner likes me in, if i want to look good for my partner [although she's a girl so it isn't the same haha] but if I want to wear something, I wear it, even if my partner doesn't like it! :)

I wear heels alot and I think I have faked myself into thinking they are super comfortable!!! I can run around work as if I had flats on... But there are days where I like my flats and I wear shoes that resemble ballet flats. Poo on him for telling woman not to wear them! I think that they are super cute!! I wear what I like and is comfortable not what the fashion world tells me to wear or not wear

Wade thinks that women should dress up to please his eyes! Such a prick!

The most important thing is we are comfortable and confident with what we're wearing. WE don't have to please anybody. We have to please our own selves.

I don't see whats wrong with flat shoes either, it really depends on the person who's wearing them i guess but who cares what he thinks anyway, flat shoes are comfy and look great with the right outfit too! in my opinion shoes definitely dont make anyone any sexier or any uglier...theyre just shoes XD

And men don't have the right to dictate us what to wear so we could look better before their very eyes. Shame!

It wasn't just the shoes, I suspect. The dress is a bit of a no-no as well: http://yfrog.com/kkfwcwzj

I know (and I think that he was just rude to do so) but would that lady have looked any better in heels with that dress? I think she would have just fallen flat on her face (literally!). The lady did come up to him half an hour later, apparently, and told him off to his face for being out of order!
There are plenty of people who look good in ballet flats ... but there's always a time and a place, not to mention what you wear with them.

I think that the story says a whole lot more about Wade than it does about girls who wear ballet flats! The guy may be able to play baseball but he's clearly a bit of an a$$hole!

Well he was either saying.."don't wear them cause they look stupid..put on a sexy pair"... or ... maybe he was pointing out in a crude way...flats are not good for your feet on a regular basis. Why? Cause they are flat. There is no arch in the shoe. If there is no arch in the shoe.,.. there is no support for the arch in your foot. No support for arch in your foot, means your natural arch will deteriorate and your foot will eventually become "flat" and you won't be able to wear any show with an arch. And the arch of your foot helps support your foot, which helps support your ankles, which helps support your legs, which supports your body...ending with if there is no support to the legs..you won't walk well, or be able to walk much or right etc.
That is why many people in their 30's are now having trouble with finding shoes to fit width wise and arch wise. They were raised and grew up in flats and flip flops...neither of which have any kind of support or arch. So now, their feet are "flat" and spread out (cause of no structure and support) and they can't find shoes to fit and when they do find a pair...their feet hurt when they wear the shoes.
But I love High Heels!!!! Wear them all the time and my feet are fine! And I have never worn flip flops or sandles!

What he meant was girls are supposed to wear killer heels coz girls don't look sexy in flats.

If women want to be able to walk comfortably into their later years, they should NEVER wear those spike heels.

I'm with you. And just because men want to look at pretty and sexy women doesn't mean we have to kill ourselves in pain to impress them by wearing those killer shoes!

I think that people should wear whatever shoe is pleasing to them. some shoes are for comfort and some are for fashion and style. The shoe should defiitely fit the mood. Wear the shoe you wantno matter what anyone else thinks because you can only really please yourself so why not be happy with what you put on your feet?

I wear what i'm happy with and not what others would think. I see no problem in that. I have my own sense of style and nobody should dictate me.

I would wear those flat ballet shoes if I were to watch a basketball game. Who cares what I feel comfortable wearing. I don't think someone would dare care at what shoes you are wearing. Everyone is suppose to be there to watch the game and not to watch what other people are wearing

It was at a party according to one of the mylotters here and not at a game. But then even so, i think we should wear what we are comfortable with. Nobody should dictate what we should and shouldn't wear.

for me, i would choose comfort over fashion. maybe the lady would want to be comfortable rather than appearing fashionable and nice to others and the she herself is suffering with her feel. i think that we should respect their fashion choices

Yeah! Even if she is dressed in an awkward way Wade had no right to take a pic of that poor lady and post it for the public to see and humiliate her.

Hello. I like shoes and I have different pairs on each occassion. I mean,I have daily shoes, comfy rubber shoes, flat shoes and wedge shoes. I seldom wear high heels. I am so uncomfortable wearing it.
Since my husband is taller, I wear wedge shoes always. And being tall give me a sense of something. :) I even have a wedge rubbershoes that doesnt look like wedge. Its a gift from a cousin abroad. Thanks to her. :) Its hard to find good and comfortable shoes that I fancy.

Fitflops are an inch or two higher than ordinary flipflops and i have two pairs of them. I wear wedge too but not too often as i'm more comfortable with flats plus the fact that i'll be taller than my husband.

Each one of us has different style and different way of thinking. So each of us take different selections while shopping. May be your friend believes that flattered shoes are only for men. I think this made him to tweet it.

it would not be right to wear heels on a basketball game i think. i love wearing ballet flats as well as it is comfy as for heels i wear in the office...so it all depends on where we go and what we will do.

For persons like you who are always on the move, I don't think those shoes are suitable for you. I don't judge sexy ladies from the shoes they wear but rather from the body shape they have. What's your take?

It depends on the clothes you wear actually. Ballet flats would go with casuals and to those who are already lean and tall. High heeled shoes are great to elongate the legs and could go from casuals to sophisticated clothes.

Well I like wearing high heeled shoes but i just feel a little bit awkward when i'm with my husband because i would be taller than him wearing just a two-inch shoes.

may he liked the girl who was wearing the ballet shoes but
because he is so tall, she might have been really short for
him to have a long conversation. sounds crazy vut it had to
mean something, why would he even take the time to tweet
about ballat shoes.
