A different prayer

Most Chinese believe in afterlife and tend to think that those deceased family members may have the power to protect their offsprings when they are up in heaven. It's very common for the alive offsprings of the deceased to ask for good fortunes on specific festivals like Qingming and the Spring Festival's eve and in fact , asking for power and protection is only concern they have in their minds. My beloved mom died nearly 7 years ago and the first a few years after her death was like a nightmare for me . Even though I have a busy life in a different city , I still manage to go back to my hometown to pay tribute my mom once or twice a year. Every time when I go to my mom's tomb I feel sadness over my heart and I awefully silent but inside my mind I have an unchanging prayer for her over the years and I want to tell her that I'm still her best daughter@friend and I wish her to be happy and healthy in the other world!

It's always good to remember our loved ones that passed away. I'm sure your mother is quite content to know that she was loved so much. I'd like to know more about this after life.
