Are you insane, the 90's was all about straight up party music. Milli Vanilli, Heavy D, Boyz II Men. Each decade has music it should be remembered by an the 90's had some classics. This decade I find is hopeless, as I have yet to hear anything really good.

Music is as good as the memories you associate with it. The 90's were good times for me, because they were my high school years. This was the time when I really listened to music. Though I would have to say the 80's were the best era for music.

Those are sweeping statements! How can you describe ten years worth of music in just a couple of lines?
There must be at least one good song from the nineties. Can't think of one offhand!
Anyway you were too young for most of the nineties! Now the sixties - there was a good musical decade. I would have said fifties but that would put me in the same position as you in the nineties.

who cares what decade of music people listen to? i listen to psychedelic music from the late 60s and early 70s but was too young to enjoy them when they first came out. i listen to big band music from the 1930s and 1940s too. way before i was born. just because you don't like a decade of music doesn't mean other don't as well.
maybe it makes them happy?

There are a lot of good music from the 90's that I could recall. Music is like human kind, it goes into evolution. Without the old music, the new music won't have any inspiration. Although I am from the 90s, I also appreciate the music from 80's, and older back tracks. It depends on the genre and the artist though, but I still can remember some good songs of the past. =)
A song by the way is not just about the melody, a song also has lyrics. Without one of those, it's just music, not a song. =) I respect your opinion/feeling about the 90's music but whatever you feel don't apply to all people. Someday, when you get old, younger kids, younger than you will also say the same thing with the choice of music that you will listen to. ;)

Well God created our fingers different so are we, humans. So it's understandable that people wouldn't have the same taste in music and other things as you are. I was born in early 90's and although it really wasn't my 'time' (children barely gives music time of day during childhood anyway) I still prefer listening to 90's music down to the classics than to listen to the current trend in this generation (although I'm part of the said generation). I think 90's music is a real hit and I think they have more ART than the lyrics and compositions that is so famous nowadays.
I'd rather listen to oldies music than listen to songs which have lyrics that doesn't make sense or wherein A word is repeated, like more than 50 times just so the song could be longer. I think singers, bands and composer are better back then, because at least don't rely much on technology to make some techno music that I couldn't believe could be sang live and sound the same as the recorded one. ^^
I'm just voicing my opinion and I know there are people who may or may not agree. ^^

Well said jhustinian. I do listen and appreciate the some songs of the present generation although I'm from the 90's generation. I don't discriminate people who listen to songs that I don't like. I just let them listen to what they like, leave them at that as long as they leave me with my preferences. I don't need to like the songs I don't like same way as I don't push others to like the songs I like.
Sorry to some who might get offended but some songs nowadays even have lyrics/words that don't exist and meaning nonsense, some are just made up words just to keep the rhyme. Some of those songs I do appreciate, some are just trash. But I don't bash. If I don't like it, I don't listen to it. Period. I don't need to tell the world and cry about not liking a song. Only babies cry when they don't like the song being played. XD Just a thought.

Yeah a total waste of energy and time and to add, it will just make you look like an idiot, posting rants or hate speech about some posts. The best way to treat "dislike" is ignoring it.

Thanks, well for me, as much as I hate the songs I have heard that irked me a lot, I don't go online just so I could scream how much I am fuming about the song. I just keep it to myself, making a fuss like that is too much of a drag anyway and I know it won't do me any good anyway.
I always find it ridiculous when people bother to post flaming post and comments on videos they've seen online, tch, they're wasting their own time.
