I think my friend is getting in over her head.

Recently, a friend of mine came to me for advice as she knows that i am involved in an international relationship. She met a man through an online dating service, and they began corresponding by email. He hasn't asked her for money, but on the other hand, they've never talked on the phone or on skype, and yet he wants her address to send her a gift. i told her that no guy is going to buy a gift for a girl he's never even talked to, and with whom he has only been emailing for a week or two. I told her also that she should question very seriously why he would want her address. My guess would be identity theft of some sort. Do you guys think that this is the right advice, or is this guy just weirdly over demonstrative, and maybe I should mind my own business?

It is a good possibility. There are many scammers on the dating service sites, and they prey on lonely gullible people.
