When I was in high school, I studied in an exclusive school for girls. And I had a crush on one of my “ cute “ classmates and even her older sister. If ever I will attend the reunion, and she attends too, will it be shameful to admit that I had a crush on her in our high school days? She’s still the same, cute and have never changed, even with the body structure as I was watching the pictures and the videos taken in our Alma Mater’s homecoming, which I did not attend. Am excited to see her again. Don't worry guys, i am a real woman still.

Why do you have to admit it if whe wasn't aware of it them? Or maybe she was? In that case you could let her know that your view of her has not changed and that you consider her to be a very fortunate person and someone that you would have liked to have been, had you been given a choice. I was fascinated by a response on the previous page. A 'crush' as you intend it is exactly the same as how I intend it too, and I am only across the pond from the US

I guess that is so because a crush is a crush Yes if all of you start admitting your crushes at the reunion it could out to be really funny. Lots of secret might be uncovered too

Actually, when i saw the pictures of my former classmates who attended the reunion and saw her there too, i remembered my crush on her. So, now that we are older i can admit it in front of everybody and make it a laughing matter. Almost everyone has a crush on another girl, during those days. So i think, if i start, others will reveal their crushes too, and it will be fun on our next reunion, which i will surely attend already! Yes, i gathered crush to us Filipinos , is the same as what you interpreted it to be, mysdianait. Why is that so?

You could admit it. Of course you run the risk of making her feel very uncomfortable.

I agree, no sense admitting something from the past if you are happy with your life now.

Yes, i am happy with my life now. Though, i feel that i have to tell her that , so at least she will feel good that somebody from amongst her classmate has a crush on her and her sister during our high school days. Us, being all girls , usually would have a crush on other girls, we find cute. But it doesn't necessarily mean that i am a tomboy. It was just the trend in our school before. At least we can make a good laugh of those high school ways of us, when we all meet again. And i think, my other former classmates would admit their crushes too, during those times.

Beats me. I have never had a crush on anyone ever. I have no idea what that means, or how it works or anything. If I did get a girl, I would want it to be a "real woman" as you say.

Oh! Well then I've had a million crushes then. Because admire good looking people. I often think to myself "hey that's a good looking person there.". In fact I thought that when I saw your icon. hmm.... so does that mean I have a crush on you?

Andy, it means you admire a person because they are good looking. It was not something serious, but just to while our time away at school during those times.

the point is: admitting to her? to your family? to your friends? I can be politically correct and tell you "don't be afraid and tell everybody what you feel" but i experienced myself what preconceptions could do, so be careful: if she is an open minded person you can talk in serenity but if she is narrow-minded you could scare her or even disgust her. I like men but I don't dislike girls and I'm really lucky I have people near me who understand and love me anyway but I know a friend who was not so lucky and has been ousted by her mother. The very bad reality is that we cannot express ourselves everyday and with everybody unless to be excluded, because there are too many mean people yet.

If everyone in your group had a crush and they all knew who was crushing on whom then why do you have to tell her? You contradict yourself.

Ok, now I fulfully understand the context ;) In this case I think it would not be any problem to tell her, as you said you can be pioneers ^_^

Yes you can admit it to her. Maybe, that is just a normal reaction of girls studying in an exclusive schools. You can admit that you just fond of their cuteness, and tell them that you are a real woman. hehehe

Yeah, that can be a start of a new topic during the reunion. I know there are also revelations from your other classmates who are their crushes or admires most in your school during high school days.

Correct my friend. I am a real woman and it's just but natural to admire prettier ones, specially during our teen days. I guess, it was a passing craze for an exclusive school for girls, run by nuns. Admitting it infront of everybody on the next reunion, which i will surely attend will open the way for others to admit their crushes too, during those times.

There is nothing wrong on having a crush with the same gender even if you are a real woman. And there is nothing wrong on telling her that you had crush on her. Crush is just liking something on that person. It is not love. So its okay to admit it.

So the meaning of crush to you is the same as my meaning to it. I find nothing wrong with it , because it's just an admiration. It's just that during those times, i kept it within our group because i was skinny then, and she might say yaiks!

Oh, it's just an admiration for a beautiful classmate. But i assure you i am a woman still. I guess, i wasn't as beautiful as her then, because i was still skinny then.

To avoid her from coming into conclusions, you can always admit it in front of everyone so you can all laugh and forget about it afterwards. Saying something like that in front of a person where there's only the two of you would most likely make her feel uncomfortable.

Oh yes Ybong, that's what i plan. I will say it in front of everybody so everyone can laugh at it and share their crushes also during those high school days. It was the craze that time, us being all girls.

Hi SimplyD Never mind what she would think but go ahead and let her know. It seems that you people dont communicate these days and so I would say it might open up doors for some great friendship.

I feel confident too that it could be another avenue of greater friendship. At least, we can laugh at it now that most of us are married and with big kids already. It wasn't actually me sids, who have a crush. Actually, most of us have a crush, because in our group we have each, a crush as we of course revealed to our group only.

Actually my friend, it is not a pressure at all for me. I will admit it for the sake of us all laughing about it and for others to admit their high school crushes also. We are now old and matured and will just laugh them off. Hmm, who could have a crush on me then? I think no one, because i was skinny and lanky then, no appeal at all.

Does it matter if you admit or not? Do you want anything from her? Perhaps you should wait and see her in person first.. a pic is not the same.

Yes, that was in high school and now 35 years later, we will all meet again. It will now be a laughing matter to all. And i guess, some will reveal their secret crushes also during that time. And it will be a riot of laughing and reminiscing.
11 Jun 12
there is no harm in admitting it. it would be fun i guess. cause many years have passed and both of you are matured enough to just laugh it off. all the best :)

We think the same way my friend. That's why i shall be telling her if ever we see each other on the next reunion or at a batch mate gathering. I know it will be fund, because almost everybody has their crushes during our high school days, when we were all girls from 1st year to 4th year. If i bring this up, i know others will reveal theirs also. It would be fund indeed.

Why are you asking us when you have already decided to do it? That sort of thing might be "normal" and acceptable in your culture but in ours, it means you are showing lesbian tendencies. Which is not to say you ARE a lesbian but it means you would be willing to try it out. Having "a crush" on someone means you feel romantically towards that person. It's that simple. You say you are a "real woman" (wife, mother etc) but lesbians are real women too and I'm sure many are married and have children just like some homosexual men. In my world, you would keep things to yourself unless you are prepared to embarrass the other people, embarrass yourself and have people think you are admitting you are a lesbian.

I have a number of girl crushes myself and i'm not ashamed to admit it. It's pretty normal to appreciate other women. It doesn't mean you're gay when you like another woman unless you like her romantically or sexually. I'm not attracted to women sexually but i get attracted with their confidence, intelligence, talent and beauty. When I was in elementary school I had two girl crushes and both were ballet dancers. And that went on till we were in high school. They were three years ahead of me. Then two years ago, they both added me on facebook and I was not ashamed to tell them how much I admired them when we still went to the same school!

Oh yes my friend. I know that we wil all be laughing when i will admit that. And i know too, that others will admit who their crushes are too. Makes me wonder who got a crush on me too, during those days. I guess no one because i was a skinny girl then.
