Have you ever left your wallet at home or in your office maybe and you are left with only a few extra coins in your bag or purse?
Well, I have. I was so in a hurry yesterday that I didn't notice my wallet was not in my bag. I only noticed it when I was on my way to the mall to buy something for my little business. It was so stupid of me to have gone to the mall without my wallet. Good thing is, I have a few coins in my bag and a small bill (50 pesos) which I used to pay for my fare in going to the mall and in going to the office. I was suppose to buy my lunch in the mall but end up buying bread for my lunch instead. I was able to buy dinner with the little bill I kept in my bag where I end up on zero balance after all the fare and the bread and dinner. I was able to get money from my office mate who happen to have a debt on me , thank God she paid! If she didn't pay, I would have walked from office to home OR might be riding the jeep and not paying for the ride at all..
What did you do when you left your wallet at home? Where you able to arrive at your destination? Do you keep extra money or coins in your bag or purse just in case you might be needing them in case of emergency?

Only once I left my wallet and it is in the college days. I have to pay for a cultural programme. Later I gave it in the noon time after getting it from my room which is nearby. After that while working I left my wallet, mobile everything at home and went to my office. Luckily that day I have nothing to pay or spend. From that day I used to keep some extra money in my draw there in my office and also in the other place of bag. So even if I left the wallet I could manage with other extra money.

This also happened to me just a month ago. Changing my bag before going to work was the reason. I didn't even noticed that I don't have my wallet with me. Only when I arrived at the tricycle's terminal to get seven pesos "as my payment" for the ride and I don't have enough time to go back home to get it because I've already run out of time plus it also a long distance walk from home to tricycle terminal. Luckily when I remember my small prayer book in my bag's secret pocket the 100 peso bill. I was able to arrive to my work in time but before that I have to ask first the tricycle driver if he has small bills for my 100 peso bill because it's still early in the morning. So keeping money anywhere in your is not that bad.

I have left my wallet at home before. But,whenever I take my wallet out at home I got in the habit of putting it right back in my purse,so I have it when I need it.I do not carry much cash on me,but keep my debit card and check book in my purse.

I'm not a fan of using debit/credit cards nor do I have a check book with me. I only have my atm where all my salary goes directly during pay day. I don't have that much extra money so it's hard for me to always be ready when needed. But, I am thinking of always keeping an extra money in my bag now so I will not be having a hard time budgeting next time.

I am so ultra paranoid about leaving my wallet anywhere other than in my sight that I rarely leave it at home. Of course, sometimes, I just take enough money and leave the rest of it at home. However, I think that there have been one time that I almost forgot my wallet. I was rather going to really turn around and really go home to get it.
That is bad time and I think that I would really freak out if I truly noticed that I would really not have my wallet. I would wonder if I had left it at home or if I had merely dropped my wallet. There are times where I am extremely frustrated a lot of the time, and there are just many times where that would rather be a problem. I do feel for those people who lose their wallet.

Ohhh , that happened to me once in life , I would never forget it. I invited my friend for dinner , so , we were at the restaurant , we finished dinner and they brought me the bill , I opened my purse and surprise !! my wallet wasnt there, I was taking things from my purse at home and put the wallet on the table and I didnt notice it, at that time, my heart jumped almost out of my chest, I told my friend and surprise !! oh oh , she didnt have any money either , we just kept talking , didnt know what to do , we talked about calling the waitress and tell her all,but ,( maybe she would not believe us) that was so embaresed, we started looking for coins in our purses, and almost got it , just we missed 4 cents or so , i dont remember very well , but , the restaurant made the exception with us and gave us kind of a discount, I think that is the most embaresing moment in my life , mostly because i invited my friend and then had to ask her to take all the coins from her purse... Oh my God !! can you believe that? So , it is good if we put some coins or even money , hidding somewhere around in the pockets of the purse not in the wallet.

I always make sure that I do have money in my pocket or bag everytime I go out in the house. I used to have money in my bag. I don't used wallet for awhile now and just put my money in pocket or bag that I use to work. It is really hard if you forget wallet or money at home especially when going into some places.

Well ! there really is some kind of joy when you are left in the open with absolutely no money in hand. Whether it is forgetfulness to carry the wallet along or penurious condition, there is great thrill in being outside penniless.

Hi,
I once left my wallet in the office and got nothing on my bag or in my pocket. I was in public transportation at that time. I ended up asking money from others. Lol.
Fortunately, there was one woman that was so kind. She gave me her money to pay my transportation.

I do it now....i just leave my wallet at home and bring some money when i go to work only.
I cook and bring my lunch from home so that i may not spend any money when i work. However if i have a plan to buy something i may bring more money...but i still leave my wallet at home.
I really don't want to bring wallet at this time.

I get your point. The advantage of what you are doing is you can save a lot of money. I can do that as well, but I don't know if I can handle it for days since I am a bit of paranoid. I think every day is a day where I can always use some money that is why I always have a couple of bills in my wallet rather than going to a near Atm and withdraw.

You are right, i could save more money since i don't bring my wallet out more. Since i found it, i don't intend to bring wallet also...
You know i used to save no money for long time and i really didn't understand why i was like that...when i checked...all money ran out of already...and i really didn't know what i spent on it...
Right now, i can save money...it is simple thing with many people but it is a big change with me...

I have a silly, but very useful habit of putting extra coins and small money in my bag at random, whenever i get change from somewhere. This helps me when I forget my wallet.
And I live in India, so if I got stuck somewhere and couldn't pay for transportation till my home, I would get into an auto rickshaw [taxi] and take that straight to my home, where I would ask the driver to wait while I fetch the money from inside. This will at least ensure i get home, even though it may be more expensive.

Yes, that will also work for me letting the taxi driver wait for a few minutes while I get money. But, my office is in the 7th floor and taxi's are not allowed to get inside the compound of our building not unless you have a government ID to show. I don't have that so I still have to walk a few meters from the highway to my building, I don't think drivers could wait that long for me. going home won't be a problem using that technique

I always used to keep some amount of money in my car and in my pockets for meeting any urgent cases. Sometimes I used to forget to take my wallet with me and there were many times with me when I am shopping but those money which I kept them in my car helped me to carry out my shopping. If I don't have source of money with me I will have my father to get them.

It's hard for me to call for help if ever I don't have any extra money with me in my bag since my sisters are working and so does my father. It was a good thing for you that you have kept some money in you car. I only keep a few coins in my bag and the bill in my bag is was a payment from a debt a night before this happen and I forgot to put it inside my wallet. I am thinking of putting an extra wallet in my bag now so if ever this happens, I will not have a hard time thinking how to spend that little money for everything for that day.

I have always kept two wallets for myself so most of the time, when I forget to bring my wallet I will still have money with me because I have another wallet where I kept some of my money. I also have coin purse so that makes it three. :D And sometimes my laziness is an advantage too because when I feel to lazy to keep the changes and coins I receive whenever I purchase something I would just put it randomly in my bag, so whenever I search in my bag I could find some penny in it and I'm safe. ^^ But I guess I can always ask or borrow some from my friends if ever I've forgotten to bring any money with me. ^^
