Going to church

For the past few weeks, I never been to church and I hate myself for not going to the church. Sometimes, I feel like not going or I would wake up so so late that if I would go, the church is over. I know that God is there with me always but I hope I can show to Him that I love Him so much by going to the church. I hope next week I would have the chance to go to the church. Lord, forgive me for not going. Please help me.

God will forgive you if you are sincerely repentant. Not only should you plan to go and no go. It is a sin. It should be self disciplined force, and somehow, because after will be much harder. And after the departure of one will see how it will all be different. You'll want to go back and soul will find great peace.

Thank you sharing an extra effort in answering this post. It is a happiness to me knowing that you have seen such post and gave a time to it. Indeed, God will surely forgive me if I will be sincere with my repentance. Self-discipline is badly needed to achieve these things and I should give more effort for a valuable time with Him.

Practically, we can allocate one hour for prayer once a week. Otherwise, we can pray to God every day and at home. It is inportant to believe in God, sincere, pure heart and soul.

Thanks for the advice. Indeed, it is very much convenient praying in the house. Of course, I believe in you with such belief with God, it is with true sincere and pure and heart and soul because if we don't, the love we have for Him is not real.

For sure he will forgive you, I have that same thinking as you do that showing my faith and love to God is that I must go to church every sunday, but one time I missed one mass and I was really upset and mad at myself. But my cousin tell this that "God knows you love him, just pray!" even though I missed it a simply prayer with God is so much better to show him that we really love him. I realize that there are so many ways to show your love to God, but also going to church is a plus. So keep what you feel make you better and find allot of ways to show your love to God.

Personally, I think we have all been there a time or two, and if you are like me, the problem becomes you miss one time and then it becomes even easier to miss the next, and the next and next thing you know it has been a month or two since you were even at church last. The main thing, is to have that desire to want to continue to attend church and serve God and change things again from here. It is not always easy, but it will get better from here.

yes it is not easy. it is not a simple process. it is a journey not a destination. i am taking things so slow because i know it is so hard for my part. now, i do not go to church because my parents insist me to go but it is because i want to listen to Him and be with Him, thank Him, praise Him and say all my desires and problems.

hi,
actually i still dont visit the church until now, as i remember my last visit was past two years ago,and my purpose during that time was to have work because i really need to work during that time,and this year i still have not visit again the church,but i always assure that i will pray in the evening before i go to sleep.

I sometimes feel the way you feel and I know it's a huge mistake. It's a struggle but i think if we ask for His forgiveness and divine providence, we will be able to eliminate this bad habit of ours. :)
I also think that when we go to church, we should wholeheartedly be willing to listen to the word of God, receive it and keep it in our hearts and mind. Otherwise, we are fooling ourselves.:)

That's one of the reasons why I chose not to go to church sometimes because sometimes, I felt lazy and would just be sleepy in the church if i insist to go. I go because I feel going and I feel listening to God's words.
Yes, Im taking small steps. I know God will help me.
