Maintenance hell

...And what if it never returned back to life I am better off finding it offline and doing some other things which of course dont interest me.... but then, it is better NOT to have butterflies in the stomach

I was also thinking that it happens after a payout day. It is very frustrating indeed but oh well, what can ya do? I just kept thinking "well, not making any money off of mylot today". It certainly makes it harder to reach payout when it goes down like that and you can't post doesn't it?

It has been annoying with all the problems this site has been facing from time to time. It would be nice if they can get all of these issues resolved. But your solution and suggestion is a good one for sure.

awwww i know what you mean and i did that as well. it was frustrating to see the site under maintenance, they could have atleast told us about it.

Well, i don't connect to mylot since it got a problem..and i do the others things...just temporarily forget mylot for a while...it is nice when we can connect to mylot again, right?

oh..so that's why i wasnt able to post my comment!! huhu and i thought my mylot account is going crazy. ahahaha anyway...copy paste is just for those with lots of post. i forget how many.

Is it maintenance and upgrading, or just another glitch? Either way, my MyLot was broken, but I had plenty of other things to do. Yes, saving discussions into a program to copy and paste does help with that aspect of the issue. It does not let me comment to the responses on my new discussions, though, so now that the site is up and running, I will go check them out.

I did that too I didn't strat topics for discussion though but I did type out comments to the responses on my topics that I had not already done. However, I am not convinced for one minute that it was down for maintanance or an upgrade. I fear that it crashed and that over the week-end there was no-one there to fix it. I think we should all go on strike until we get earnings credited for yesterday

wish i had thought of that for answering some. i only came up with one or 2 ideas for making a discussion tho and im not like you or a couple of other friends that really go nuts with discussions daily. i wouldnt have time to answer them for months. probably why i dont make payout here but every 2 or 3 mths. one poor friend here kept filling up the email with about 50 repeats of the same discussion. its a good thing in a way for her that trying to turn notify off wasnt working either!

I didn't do nothing for 2 and half days. When I realized mylot wasn't working, I stopped torturing myself trying to write up responses and just kept tabs on the recent discussions to see if any activity was picking up. I went on my merry way and worked on other things, and when I got an e-mail saying I had a new response for a comment I'd made, I knew it was back up. I don't mind being away so much, but I would appreciate some warning! Some little pop-up saying, "Hey! Mylot will be down from so and so until so and so! Don't panic." Then I could know how long and why mylot wasn't going to be working.

I was upset as well because I am working so hard to make payout and am so close. I am relying on this money so I can put it towards my goal of getting Randy Dodger's tickets for his birthday. I too think we should have been warned that it was going to be down then I could have worked aroud this. Oh well, it is up and running so I guess all is forgiven.

I regret not doing what you did and what ms D did. I should have thought about that while I wasn't able to login during the past days. Should have helped me with my friends discussions that I haven't read or answered. Well, I did other stuff anyways that I haven't done for quite sometime so I can still say my time wasn't wasted then.

I did the same thing also! I'm so glad I'm able to copy and paste. I couldn't stand the waiting though. I really hope this is it -- that site will properly function again and we don't have anymore issues.

Hi Capt, I am new since Oct last year...but I have never experienced this length of outage, when I tried at least twice to respond and each time it had me questioning myself, was I doing something wrong? But after twice I just left the site and returned every so often to check it up until after 9:00 PM and then once after that...then it was a rap..and I never went back unil about an hour ago.

Your right,it's annoying all right.And a waste of time and energyOn Friday,I logged in and had problems posting.Later that day I started a discussion and at first it would not let me post it.The message said for me to go back and try again.So,I did.It posted twice! Later that night myLot sent me a notice that they were deleting it because it was posted twice.I checked they only deleted one of them. Some myLotters replied to it and I replied to them,when this was possible,all day Saturday and Sunday also,it was only letting me post sometimes.Then Monday morning I logged in to get a noticed that the site was down for maintnance. Then late last night I got another notice that the other posting of that discussion that had posted twice on Friday night was being deleted because it had posted twice! Go figure!

Good day CaptAlbertWhisker, What you have done is perfect. Hence, thru that way, you able to use your energy wisely. That although this site was undergoing on maintenance, your topic was preserved in the Microsoft Word File. And when the site re-opened again, you just need to get your topic from the File Cabinet, copy and paste it to the Mylot site. Thus, your moved is an ideal one since it makes you use your time wisely. And this is also what I am doing everytime I can't access the site for some maintenance reason.

I did that too because I dont want to waste any ideas that already in my mind but now that mylot is working very well I can copy and paste my discussions that I created since last saturday afternoon. But while mylot is under maintenance to lessen my boredom I walked around with my husband and watch movies. I also fully understand that upgrading and maintenance are needed to make this site working good and give us a good services.

yes, upgrading and making changes in site is important for proper functioning and smooth working and it really makes us worried because it is about Mylot and earning we would not be worried if it would be about other sites like Facebook etc. it is really annoying because we do not understand what is happening, I was trying to start discussions and comment in discussions but I could no do that, I was worried I thought my computer has got some problem that is why I am getting problem. I searched a discussion "unable to post " and in that discussion I read - if we get reports then we cannot post or start discussions on Myolot and because of that I was worried and I thought I would lose my Mylot account again. I did not know that Mylot is under maintenance from two days,I saw that few hours ago and now it is working and I see discussions about the everyone's experiences, I am relieved now. wish I would have done same thing like you but as I cannot copy and paste because of the star rating, I am not feeling bad. thank for the tip, I will keep it in mind next time.

For me, 500 is too high to reach, but i well make an effert.
