I was reading a book and came across a quotation "plan your own life else you'll fall into someone else plan and guess what have they planned for you.Not much".For a while i thought how true it is.Many a time it has happened to me though the reasons can be multiple sometimes i didn't plan, other i planned but failed or i gave up my plan to compromise with others but every time i landed in a deprived situation and i regretted always.

my whole life i'd wondered what it would be if i'd done more planning or carried out more plans. i have no way of changing myself or my inability to make plans about where i'm going but sometimes it's nice to fantasize about what could have been. that phrase means alot.

That's a great quote actually, I love it! And there is some truth to it, of course. So I would say it's a great motto to live by.
I try to plan my own life as best as I can, but of course it is sometimes hard. But still, I definitely think this is something everyone should be doing! So I love that you shared this quote!

That is a really good phrase!! I know many times in the past I have settled for jobs because a) I needed money or B) I didn't think I would find something else so I just stayed and was unhappy. But now for the last 5 years I am at a job that I enjoy and like the people and hours. I am going back to college for more classes also to better myself with in the company.

Hello swapmind
You are correct that one must plan their life or have it planned for them.
There was a famous the musician who once said, "Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans," or something like that. I think his name was the Johnny Lenin.
