stickers on the window

You know we all let our kids get away with some things. But you know it bugs me that I see back seat windows caked in stickers put up by kids. Would you let your kids do that to the windows on your car? I mean you can't do anything about it while you are driving but I'd make them put effort tward getting them off and I'd clear the rest of it off so it looked like a window again.

I wouldn't let them, if I had a car. The back window is really important whilst driving, you have to be able to see clearly as if another car is coming really close, even with the rear window, the back window is important, and those stickers are just blocking the view (I don't even agree with the country signs and the Baby on board ones, they could stick that elsewhere on the back part of the car). I think if I went with kids for a holiday, I wouldn't give them stickers, but coloring books or so, to get them occupied. Also, I wouldn't even allow them to put stickers on at home... rather I would wash the car with them together or organiser other programs.

Exactly one can find them other things to play with in the car than stickers. My kids always want to color which is great til you realize what season it is and you can't keep the crayons in the car as they'll melt. I forgot about that and found out the hard way.

Hi 3SnuggleBunnies,
Kids will be kids and they do such things as they are fun. I guess the solution to this is to educate them not to place stickers on places that should not be placed. If that does not work then parents must exercise proper control (make sure they have no stickers when they are in the car) otherwise the parents will have to spend time and effort in cleaning up the mess.

There's always a mess to clean when it comes to kids. However, yes they need to know that they can't place them on car windows as it can be a safety hazzard as well as it looks bad.

I agree the vision obstruction is my number one reason why would someone let the kid do it and if they did it do whatcha gotta do to clear it off. Yes quite a messed up looking window.

I put them on my headboard and dressers as a kid. They were all second hand even third hand. I don't recall my mother ever complaining about it, BUT old furniture vs being a safety issue in a vehicle are two different things.

Kids always love stickers and tattoos and interested in sticking stickers in various places like house walls, doors, cup boards and various places. Some naughty kids will stick the stickers in valuable items like car, AC, Home theater and other important things. This kind of stickers will give more attraction to the thing as per their view, but some parents will be irritated with this kind of kids activities and removed the stickers from the things.
This kind of activity will give a great disappointment to the kids. WE must be careful while removing the stickers, if we don't remove it properly it will spoil the thing. In my house, my kids placed stickers and tattoos in our walls, doors and cupboards. While they are toddlers, my wife placed some stickers in the fridge to attract the kids. They are interested with this stickers and started to sticking it in our house after grown up a little bit.
This kind of stickers are an identity to others, to understand that our house is having little kids. IF our kids placed their stickers in expensive items, we are annoyed with their activities. We must tell them to avoid this kind of activities and stick their stickers in their books and note books to keep in touch with them.

When I was a kid I used to stick stickers on my doors and windows. It was one of my collections in childhood. I was collected them by buying Chewing gums and all, (it was free along it). I have seen my friends collected a box of stickers and a list of stickers on the doors. It is one of my golden childhood memories.
