Hello friends and mylotters!
I just had a terrible headache for almost 2-3 days and it's really unbearable, huhu! I experienced the same thing before and my doctor said it's migraine,he prescribed siverol for my migraine. But sadly, the medicine didn't work for me,I even tried another medicine to flush away the pain, but the pain is still there. Hubby said it must be because of my eyes but I told him that I took a rest from my online works last week since our daughter is already attending school.
I'm quite feeling okay now but I do hope I wont experience it again. Do you have any experience like this too..unbearable pain? Any tips for me about migraine?

Migraine is a terrible thing. I am one of the favorite victims of this thing. I hate it so much. I used to get these severe headaches since many years. My head was ready to burst. I visited many doctors but while some gave painkillers, some said migraine can never actually be cured. However, the last doctor I visited was the only one who helped me cope with this for a long period. She gave me a medicine called Fluner-10 and the dosage prescribed was 1 tablet daily every morning for a period of 6 months. I got a lot of relief while I was on this medication. However, a couple of months after I stopped taking this medicine, the headaches have returned. Sometimes my entire head aches and sometimes only half of my forehead, mostly the left side. Painkillers do not help me get rid of the pain. It is truly unbearable just as you felt it. I try to stay away from the sun and I would suggest you do that too. Always carry an umbrella and wear sunglasses when you are outside. The pain really takes long to subside. The last two weeks I did not get this headache but I am scared as when it will show up again. Having suffered myself, I can completely understand how you have had to deal with this horrible thing called migraine. I really hope you won't have to face it again. This is one of the worst things that can happen to a person.

I forgot to mention that paracetamol does not help me at all when I get these pains. The only thing I do is to sleep but when I wake up the pain still remains. It takes an entire day to struggle with migraine and the next day I usually find it has subsided.

Hi friend! I am so happy to see you here! I was having doubts at first if it is really you but then when I saw your picture in your profile(website),it is really you, haha! Glad you found me here.
Oh my,so you also experience this migraine. I agree with you that no medicine can fully subside the pain of this migraine. I also take a long sleep whenever I feel this as I can do anything because of the terrible headache. I even vommitted and perspired cold. It took me two days to fully recover from it friend. I think one factor is my eyes so I'll be going to a doctor for an eye check up. Thanks for your tips friend, really helpful. I will wear sunglasses whenever I go out.
See yah!

I am honestly delighted to find you here. I had no idea you were here! I always have nausea when I get these headaches. It is actually one of the symptoms of migraine. Hope you never again suffer from this devilish thing. And hope it does not happen to me too. I have suffered a lot over the years.

Hello friend
as your hubby said, it would be from your eyes. You check for the power variation for eyes. May be it would cause headache. If the pain is due to other reason then regular sleep and diet would be the medicine.
Take care.

Vidh, where have you been lately? It is just now that I saw you here in mylot. But I'm glad you're in my discussion now, hehe!
Yes friend,I suffered from migraine and it's really painful and what's worse is I can't do anything at home. It's really wrong timing since Crystal is already attending school. Some friends told me I maybe had stress from the schooling of Crystal and that also contributed to my migraine,oh my! But now,so far,I'm feeling okay, still adjusting with my new eyeglass I bought last night that was prescribed by the ophthalmologist.
See yah friend.

I had a migraine once and I hope to god I never get one again. Light, sound, smells made my head feel like someone was pounding it with a hammer non stop. It was so bad I laid in a dark room, no noise with a blanket over my head and didn't move for a few hours. then after it goes away I still had a mild headache for a day

Hi Laura!
It's really a horrible thing to feel that pain. And I wish migraines don't exist! I too don't want a bright light and I don't want air so my fan was off when I am sleeping. And the medicines can't fully take away the pain, It's just sad that we still have no right medicine for migraines. I hope there will in the future. All I do now is to take a rest and sleep almost the whole day.

hello cutie
If that is really migraine then avoid foods that can trigger the pain.
Avoid coffee and chocolate.
Avoid sleeping late and avoid things that stresses you.
Gosh,I have been suffering from migraine for a decade during school days :xxx
Thanks, I was able to overcome it.
take care

Caffeine is fine, but reduced the intake.
I am a coffee addict even before so I reduced my 10 cups to 5 cups a day -hehehe.
You can have coffee in the morning, but never in the afternoon.
Same with chocolates- you can have chocos in the day, but never during late afternoon.
I can't remember those big tablets that I am taking for meds.
Yes, it's double the size of Neozep but slimmer.
And I suggest you not to take much pain reliever- it will help you reduce the pain but will damage your gall bladder and kidney.
Malunggay leaves is great for migraine due to high chlorophyll.
I have it proven after I gave birth to my daughter and my in-laws serves me a lot of dishes with malunggay leaves.
Not migriane mysteriously gone and thanks God- I can't remember the last attack since then.

I got unbearable headache after walking few minutes under the sun. This has been the reason why I got unbearable pain. I haven't gone to see my doctor yet I think it is also migraine. Even I sleep for a day or more than a day it doesn't help. I even took paracetamol.. The next day, after taking a rest and medicine, I was able to breathe.

I've know a few people that have dealt with migraines before, but I've personally never had one. I remember hearing awhile back that being online frequently can affect our eyes, and that could lead to headaches etc. I'm sorry to hear that you've been suffering with this. You may have to take more breaks away from you computer. Maybe get away from the computer every hour or so to give your eyes some rest. I wish I had more tips to provide. I'm glad you're feeling okay now though :)

I was thinking if my daughter feels the same but good thing she's feeling okay, hehe! How I wish we are just neighbors friend so you can always call me at my house and invite me to run, haha!
I had eyeglasses before because of astigmatism but got rid of it when my baby comes as she always gets it from my eyes,oh my! So I just gave it to my sister who needs it too.

I would definitely keep you motivated if we worked out together lol. Nothing wrong with wearing eyeglasses. I wear mines pretty often myself. It'll be interesting to see you in eyeglasses :) Best wishes to you Teresa.

Migraine, you should go to see the doctor again to take medicine for it. one more, you should take rest, and don't sit in front of a computer for long time a day.
I haven't got Migraine yet but i used to get headache regularly. One day, when i moved to Korea, that headache is gone and now even though i go back to Vietnam for living but it doesn't go back to me.

Migraine is due to imbalance blood circulation in the brain. My doctor said there is no permanent recovery of migraine. I would keep some pizotifen and painkiller accompanied by some antacid like pantaprazole. Those are just consolation for me. So I decided to adopt the natural way to having a solution. As from my experience, I would follow the following steps-
(1) At first let your stomach move regularly and properly by eating lots of vegetables and fibrous food and by drinking a lot of water.
(2) if you have constipation due to accidity or indigestion. Never eat spicy, greesy and hot food. Better start to hate them instead of eating. If you have indigestion problem then finish eating leave some blank space in your stomach. Never eat until you feel hunger and have several cups of dense raw tea a day. Dont smoke any more. In case of accidity, take a pantoprazole 20mg daily for a month until you get normal.
(3) if you have optical problem that is if you feel any headache after moving in the sun then consult an eye specialist.
(4) if you have hypertension then consult your doctor. Try to free from all kinda stresses. Do some excercise like jogging will drive all stresses from you.
(5) if you keep dense long hair then keep it short.
(6) Never lead a lazy life. Do some hard work or do exercise. Dnt sleep at day time or dnt keep late night.
After all, I think proper bowel movement is the key solution to being free of migraine. Wish you get rid of it.

that's the problem, because it seemed that i slept late again tonight because i slep a lot this afternoon. yeah the bowel movement is something important because youhave to get rid of the waste that was filtered out. thank youfor these advises.

Oh I am so guilty of being lazy to exercise,oh my! That's one thing I have to push myself from doing even 3 times a day. But the rest, especially drinking lots of water, is what I always do. I love drinking water,my way of having a regular bowel movement. I think the cause of my frequent headaches is something to do with my eyes. I always have this stingy feeling with my eyes especially when I spend an hour or more in front of my laptop. That's the reason why it is only now that I posted a reply from your post, sorry for that. But I have already read your reply at once but wasn't able to answer on the same day,I hope you understand.

Hi mtruguanlal. I have suffered from migraine headaches for over 20 years. I have just learned to live with them, but have learned a few tricks along the way. The most important thing to do for me is to stay away from computer screens and tv screens. There is just too much going on! Next, I always eat a green apple, yes an apple! It eases the pain for me. Another is chewing nicotine gum. I am a smoker myself, but many of us are not. It is an option, but if not an option for you, then regular gum also works.
I do understand your pain, if all else fails, a nice cold cloth either over the eyes or around your neck also works. Lay in your room and keep it as dark as you can.
Wishing you a pain free day!

Hi,
I can understand the pain that you have experienced, cant move your head and even if you stay still the pain wont go away, I have that too. I finally end up vomiting and all. I don't know about the medicine that you just said, but here in India the doctor gave me Migranil, but still not that effective. This migraine headache is hard to control, I guess.

Hello mtrguanlao, You have to go back to your doctor and have it checked again. maybe the migraine is strong that the medicine you used no longer works.you just have to sleep the whole day after taking the medication. because that's what my sister in law would do. she also has migraine over the weekends of her rest.

Yes,you are very right,I really have to go to my doctor again but this time,I prefer an eye specialist to check my eyes and ask for the right medicine when migraine persists again. I also do what your sister in law does, sleep after taking medicine,it's more effective that way.

Hi mtr
That is sad to know that you have migraine. Well, I am unsure of the diets but in case you use laptops or computers for longer hours(you do mention that you dont, but this longer hours is again subjective) I see no harm in getting the eyes tested. My doctors said that my eye issues are not because of any weakness (power) but it is due to exposure to the rays from my Desktop. They prescribed me glasses and also some eye drops to keep them healthy. The headaches are lesser now. So I would suggest you to get the eyes checked and that should reveal if you have any dryness in the eyes/glands.
Take care of your health dear friend.

Yah, join the group. I too had migraine for the past two days, felt like my head was splitting and any slight noise would trigger it. How horrible. I guess migrane is already part of my system. I started to experienced it during my collage days up to now. What triggers it are stress, luck of sleep, and not able to eat on time.
Everytime migrane hit me i just going to sleep and drink lots of water but if itis unbearable already i just drink paracetamol then go back to sleep.
Migrane really makes you feel uncomfortable but i guess im used with it since my migrane has its own schedule already when to attack hehehe.. I've read some where that they still observing the main reason of migrane and how to treat it. We'll just wait and see in a few more years from now.
