Hi all my friends here.I read several discussions from this young male mylotter and in my mind I could see what I imagined he looked like based on how he wrote his discussions and responses. I got to wondering, am I alone in this or do any others get actual pictures in their mind of how certain mylotters may look? your take fellow mylotters. One mylotter always makes me think a bit of Dennis the menace lol lol lol. This discussion is only for fun and not to put anyone down at all ever. not a serious discussion but one to hopefully make some smile.

Hi Hatley, I know what you mean. Alot of us do not have our pictures up on myLot. So one can only imagine what the other person looks like. I hope you have been well. I have been away from MyLot for awhile. I really should get back into it. Hugs

So true Hatley. But, one can usually place a kind heart and face from words. You definitely have a kind face and heart. Glad to hear your son was able to get you back online. Hugs

I guess I am also too new here to start thinking of how my fellow mylotters might look like, as I am still so busy concentrating on posting correctly so as not to offend anyone as well as not to break any rules. It does remind me though, when I used to work as a receptionist for a company. I used to form pictures in my mind of how someone looked like just by the sound of their voice, and then when I eventually met them they never looked liked as what I had imagined.

hi gardengerty and jennib welcome to mylot hope you enjoy being here and relax, you will do fine, just don't stress it or sweat it at all., remember like the book most things we stress about are little things, not worth stressing over. Yes the few times I have formed a mental picture of a mylotter then seen their photo I was completely wrong. lol lol One mylotter from /england when Isaw his picture I almost drooled and Iamn an elderly lady. He was extremely handsome not at all as I had picture him from his posts.

I usually have a picture in my head of who I'm responding to and I have been quite surprised at times when I've found pictures of myLotters on other sites. I try to remind myself that my picture of them is probably just the opposite of what they are like, but it doesn't work.

It's fun, especially when the person finally posts a picture and we can see if we were right or wrong or even close. For instance, a certain nice someone I know who lives in a retirement home looks in my mind like Irene Ryan. Not as she was in the Beverly Hillbillies but without the silly getup and makeup. Here's her photo: http://content9.flixster.com/photo/11/23/65/11236579_gal.jpg I often take a cue from the screen name. One of my friends I think of as a knight riding a horse, another as a sweet willowy waif with herding her cows and goats. Sometimes when I finally go to someone's profile page and see a picture they are nothing like I thought but it's always a nice surprise.

hi dragon wow does she look different than she appeared in Beverly Hillbillies. for how I really look check me out on my Facebook account. I am the one with the quad cane and white hair wearing the loud sweater, same one I am wearing now. I havel long white hair. I do not look much like Irene Ryan but she a ctually did look rather pretty too. I am a lot tubbier too.lol.one whom I get a large charge out of as his discussions are so open and candid reminds'me ofan older Dennis the Menace. lol. I looked at his profile picture and he is really a cute young man.yes I often check profiles and I am rarely right but its fun to imagine.

I haven't been around enough I guess to have this. The one about Dennis the Menace made me giggle. Sometimes I also have a hard time with pictures in my mind... I think it has a name but I don't know it. What I usually have in my mind are either sounds or words! So this might not ever happen to me in the same way it does for you.

hi echoforever don't put yourself down as I just have a wicked imagination is all. And too I imainge 99 percent of all the peop;le I think lot a certain way would be just the opposite too. funny I have equated sounds at times too with'oeople i know, and the one sound I felt discribed my father was a sort of hiss. He was a bitter, unhappy man who trusted nobody and I often wondered if he trusted himself. he was angry so much of the time so that is where the hiss sound came in,.

:-)... You made me smile, Hatley. You could have been my GrandMa. And oh, how would I love that. I actually never got grandparents' love. Grandpa never loved anything but his books. And Grandma, she was too busy to love anyone. You sure make perfect Grandma... Picturizing a fellow myLotter.. I was gonna say, I do not do it. But I remembered, that I've been doin' this all the time. I've set an approximate facial & physical structure of almost all my friends on myLot. There're a few who've updated their pics, but many, like me, prefer not to... LOL... It comes from within, its an impulse totally uncontrollable. Take care dear....

Wow Hatley... How did you know it? Yes, I'm all that... Please elaborate my dear, how did you know it? It is kind of Sherlock Holmes thing that you've done with great accuracy. I've not been physically ill, I have emotional stress... In fact, I wake up sweating at times fearing that I'm the one with twisted mind; as they call it.. I really can't be as good as you're. But I can say that you're way too energitic, despite of your age. Sweet and kind to all. A good Mom and a better GrandMa. You love to laugh and never hurt anyone...

just lost t en lines of comment grrrrr cop yi remembered your discussions or responses where you felt unwell due to emotional stress.I as a diabetic have to use something tgo stop stress for me as it shoots up my blood sugar. I imagine a huge plastic bubble around me thats stress proof and stress cannnot bother me. this does work thinking about wrong impressions mybest friend emailed ne that Mike David mysons friend had helped robbie myson move into a new apartment.I was upset and emailed my son he told me no he had not found one yet a nd all that mike was doing was helping him move some stuff out of storage into the place he is liviong now. then he surmised how one wrong assumption could escalate first Robbie moved into a new apt, the Ro bbie went to France to get an apt, then 'Robbie moved to the French riveara where he married a french girl then on to Robbie was already Marred to finally robbie is a bigamist all f rom the first wrong assumption. He had me really laughing at the steps he showed. lol lol lol.

You got that right , I also thought he was younger because of his being smart and he knows typing well. I would not guess an elder can type a lot like that and be smart like that. He can express himself well in writing. It's a gift you got , hatley :)

You probably is the only one in Mylot for having this exceptional talent, obviously you possess highly unusual sensory organ located inside your head to be able to gather into a picture of a fellow mylotter merely base on his writing, posting and discussion, not many people in the real world or Mylot world possess such type of imagination. Cool and a thump up for you!

I also do that sometimes! But though I've never had the chance to verify my vision, I usually think to myself, "I'm probably way wrong!" lol I tend to envision people as looking a little bit like their avatars, like that would be the colors of the clothes that they wear or if their avatar is of something hip then they're young and if their avatar is of something traditional then I think that they're older. I'm curious, what do I look like to you?

It is interesting when you think about it. There are people here that I do have images of that have never shown a picture of themselves that it makes me wonder, and then there are people in here we know what they look like even if their profile pictures, like mine, are yrs. old. It would be interesting sometime to see pictures of some of the ones we are friends with just to see how much our perceptions of them are correct.

h i lore nope long white hair, blue rimmed glasses I did wear bangs but let all my hair grow long so you are partly right and I am 'a shorty only five two, Yes I pictured Denis in reading the discussion about the boy who got the horrid hair cut and how upset he was, He is older than he sounds as he starts college in July and was worried he would look gross, unlike Dennis this boy is 21 with dark hair. I was touched at how worried he was and at the barber who actually cut him while cutting his hair.I told him He should have refused to pay seeing he was not given the cut he wanted and the barber also wounded his head. You are a guy? medium tall 'with dark hair and eyes am I even close lol probably not. lol I would wear my hair ina pony tail but that takes two good arms and my left arm lost a lot of movement when I fell a few years aog and fractured it so badly I had to have a shoulder joint replacement.in spite of a lot of therapy I did not get back a lot of use so I cannot lift my left arm up to help make a pony tail of I would do that.so you came closer than you thought.

:) U know, I've never perceived my Lot discussions that way. Actually, I am not too much on my Lot so I guess I should not say anything. But, this kind of a situation rarely happens to me... It would be fun to do this, actually - imagining how people look like by just reading their responses to various discussions... I am not sure too many people put their real pic up on my Lot.. But, it would be fun to try imagining how my Lotters look like by just reading their responses to discussions... I guess it would be difficult, actually... :)

hi pjha yes it would be hard to be really close as we just are going by what they have written but at times its fun to su ppose what they look like as long as we do not hurt any ones feelings by actually telling them what we think they look like. this is mean to be a fun discussion not anything serious or hurtful in anyway.i know a lot of people do not put their own pictures'on mylot for some really valid ones. One time a few years back a mylotter was attacked by man who had stalked her before when she made the error of posting her own picture. so a lot of peopel will 'not take chances with their own photos. me I am not photogenic'so will not put my own picture on here.

You mean we've had a really bad lot here on mylot? Was this stalker subsequently removed from mylot? Or (Alice, please take note) is he still on mylot because the Guidelines don't cover his sort of behaviour (Or maybe they do? But bone idleness forbids me to check and plain stupidity prevents me from seeing an obvious answer if, indeed, an obvious answer exists)? In our local soup kitchen (UK), one of our clients is a lovely (and I mean lovely - actually, I don't think I've seen her for a while) American lady. When somebody started taking pictures for fund raising purposes, she came forward with a vehement objection, not on her own account, but on somebody else's. Apparently (somewhere else) someone she knew had been trying to escape from violence and then traced by her enemy(-ies) to the area in question through and then had suffered as a result. Bless her, she wanted to avoid a repeat performance in our neck of the woods.

hi vidhyaprakash yes it is hard and most of the t ime I am way off in what I imagine a person looks like.I imagined s everal here but onl y once was I close. Our writing style maybe veryt different from our personal stle too and while its fun to try,you rarely gueess the right attributes anyway.
