What at work can we do to keep ourselves motivated to do the best that we can?

just ignore what others are doing and always remember you are there to do your best

Amateur reply- Think of all the good things that you can do once you are done with work. a) Go out on a date b) Play games back at home c) go shopping d) hang out with friends at a pub But in order to do so, one has to finish the work. For me, the work is quite boring and like you said undeserving people are promoted (at times), so I really do not worry about that, all I think of is meeting my girl friend by the end of the day. Surprisingly, I am motivated to work and finish the day on a good note.
