Hi there mylotters.
I just happen to know now that we can really put a lot of things in our instant noodles. Like we can put some vegetables, shrimps and many more depending on our taste.
I was watching a video on youtube with my favorite guru and I am surprised that she put a lot of things in it. So, because I was amazed, I tried it for myself. I really wanted to put the same ingredients as hers but since it was impromptu, I couldn't gather those ingredients...so I only used those ones that I could make as an alternative with those ingredients that I can found on the fridge.
Anyways, it turn out great and it taste really great. So, I decided that from now on, I should take out my creativity with it and add something...and it's quite healthy also since there are veggies. ^^
Are you used to putting something on your instant noodles?? Or just cook those instant noodles plainly??
Happy Mylotting!

I love instant noodles. I will be tired of them if I have them often so i only eat them maybe once a week. I love that they are convenient and i love that my children like them too.
Since i learnt about nutrition in school, I will try to add protein like eggs and chicken. Vegetables are also added when I have them and after a fast cooking of the noodles, the children and I slurp them up together. So great!!
I want to add how I add the eggs. My youngest does not like egg yolk when its hard boiled. So when the water is boiling, after adding in the flavour, I beat the eggs and pour it in the soup. The children do not like the noodles too soft so I add them last of all. Try it!

So...better eat it only on moderation as to not become tired. It isn't really a problem to me since I don't really eat noodles often similar with my sisters. I only got to eat it like once a month or once every two months depending on my taste.

I think I should definitely add a lot of veggies to eat for me to have that proper nutrition. Since meat is not good with my kidney problem, I should definitely just avoid it with the addition.
My sisters love instant noodles as well..and they tend to eat it like 3 times a week or they could eat it almost everyday.
Happy Mylotting!

Yes it is easy to become tired of these if you eat them too often. Another reason why its a good idea to experiment with added foods for a variety.

I think you can make use of the carrot to feel the real taste of the noodles. Carrots gives the noodles a definite taste and I love having them. I think you can also make use of carrot and I hope you will love it.

^^...I also think that photo will make people get encourage to put some veggies on it to make it healthy.
Well, we all know that instant noodles isn't healthy and too much of it is a no-no...so we should definitely be innovative with our food.
You should definitely try it out...^^

I do that all the time, I put what I have in the house, depending on the noodle I will make a cream sauce, or I put in tomatoes, with whatever else, including onion it never comes out the same.

Really? Cream sauce is possible? I haven't heard about that and I am curious now on what it looks like...and I think it really taste yummy because of the taste of the cream sauce. I also don't know that we can add tomatoes...
Well, I guess there are indeed a variety of things to choose from in terms of our preferences.
Have a great day! ^^

We really have our very own preferences since I don't like breaking the noodles before boiling. I just like it long so that I can feel that it's really noodles..
Anyways, I haven't eaten noodles yet after that experiment in the picture. Maybe today I would work something out and would try some other ingredients since I am off today.
Have a great day...

Boiled egg is a must! For the veggies I prefer putting in shreds of cabbage but if you want to put ladies fingers you need to be careful or your ramen will be full of saliva! If you know what I mean.

Haven't tried the boiled egg yet but it seems many are suggesting it. I am just starting to invent myself and to release the creativity within me to put all those veggies or meats in my plain ramen...^^

Are you Korean? I'm curious about all the foreign and imported ramen in the supermarket and I haven't tried any of them. They look good though. I'm bored of the local brand we always buy. I'm wondering what is the best brand to try out something new.

Sometimes I do put additives to my usual instant noodles to give it a contrast with the ready to cook meal.
Usually I do this because such ready to cook food is full of preservatives, so by adding some other raw ingredients, it will eventually contrast the preservatives from the meal.
Sometimes, I put cabbages or other green leafy veggies to give it a more flavor. Also, I love adding some spice to it such as putting kimchi over the noodles.

Hi!
Nowadays, since I am more on a food that is already prepared by mother or sister...its just so rare for me to cook instant noodles. But if I do cook, I do make sure now to put some cabbage and other green leafy vegetables just to make it colorful and tasty. I havent realized about that until I saw that video.
Anyways, I agree with you with regards to contrasting with the preservatives.
Have a good day!

I often buy my local supermarket's own brand of instant noodles in a pot, which is to say pot noodles, (but also sometimes instant noodles), and they are surprisingly good, and extremely cheap meals if you are hard up, which I often am.
But I don't feel you can eat them on their own...you have to supplement them with other foods. I'll sometimes eat them with bread and butter, and something else, maybe cheese, and sometimes also salad too, and other things perhaps. Also sometimes for a snack, I'll drop some French bread into the pot. Or tomatoes, which causes them to become "stewed tomatoes". Once I squooshed an entire rocket salad inside, and it was suprisingly good.

Hello there Carl,
Yeah, it's cheap and it's good for those people who are in budget and want to spend just little.
My mom would always stock that up here in our house since it's easy to prepare...and honestly, I don't really want to try it with bread because I would be overload with too much carbohydrates...^^...But, we all have our preferences...^^
Have a nice day!

Usually I put nothing on my instant noodles. I just add hot water and then wait for a few minutes and I can enjoy my instant noodles. I think perhaps this is more like instant noodles. If I have to add so many ingredients, I will just use the normal noodles and this will be a big dish.
I love China

I always do that...and just yesterday...was my first time to put some additions on it...except with eggs.
But since I like something healthy...I made up my mind of putting some additions like vegetables to make it healthy not just for me but for my entire family as well...^^

Before I just cook instant noodles plain or drop some egg on it. But now, I have a 2 year old son, he needs some nutrition too. So I tried to put veggies like carrots and cabbage on it together with a drop of egg. It turns the ordinary instant noodles into more nutritious one. SOmetimes I also add malunggay leaves.

Hi there Asdomencil,
Malunggay leaves? Really?? Will it make the noodles turn green?? And I am curious now about the taste with malunggay on my instant noodles. And I don't know if I should try that one out...
It's good to be experimenting though...

Hi Butterscotsh,
You should add some veggies to make the instant noodles healthy. I am trying to be accustomed with it from now on...but still haven't tried it for the second time.
Eggs are the usual add up on instant noodles since I also add eggs but not that often..
Happy Mylotting.

Well I would add melted cheese or tomatoe sauce. Whatever my fancies that day are. depend what you keep in your pantry. I think you can add what you like but not ketchup, because for my taste ketchup don't go on everything like some do, but again like I said " depend on your taste." have fun.

Hi there Beenice2,
I haven't heard about the cheese thingy so it is really my first time to know that we can add cheese with...and I am wondering about the taste. And as what you've said, we all have different taste and preferences so it totally depend on us.
As of the moment, I haven't made one. That picture was actually the latest one..and I am kind a thinking on what ingredients or veggies to put on on my next creation.
Happy Mylotting.

At times I will add things to my instant noodle meals. Some of my favorites are also very simple. i will add veggies, soups, Parmesan cheese and butter to name a few. Sometimes shrimp is a good option but only if it is available for me to add. Usually when I do this I am in the mood for a pasta meal but the instant noodles are what I have available. I make due with what I can to satisfy my want.

Hi there Echoforever,
Many are saying that they put cheese in it and I am really curious regarding the taste...(getting really curious now)...that's why I wanted to try it but just worries that my noodles will come to waste if I don't like the taste. Anyways, it's good to just experiment with the taste...and hopefully I won't regret after.
Haven't tried for the second time but I will definitely will soon...if I have the TIME.

I do think that it really taste good with shrimp. I love shrimps, that's why. And as what I have seen on youtube...she put a dried shrimp while boiling the water just to add taste to the soup. Chicken seems delicious as well but haven't tried both yet.
Hopefully, if I have those ingredients with me.
Have a great day!

The instant noodles are always better with additions. I rarely use the flavor packet. Mushrooms, egg, napa, bok choy, miso, 5-spice powder, thinly sliced carrot or parsnip, leek, snap peas, snow peas, sprouts, and on an on. The ingredients can be endless. Of course, some of those need to be cooked a little before you add the noodles but I can have a nice dish within 15 minutes usually.

Everyday is a new learning actually.

i do put something on my instant noodles everytime i cook one. but i must admit that i am not really into eating instant foods except if i am in a hurry or there is nothing to cook because i forgot to do the grocery.
secondly its not healthy to eat instant foods every now and then. but adding vegetables to it or anything fresh can undo a little the unhealthiness of it.
yes, your right creativity in making your meal can add savor to your diet.besides it's fun, your eating healthy food. happy eating...

Hi there Lady,
Like you, I am also not into instant noodles. I rarely eat those since I don't want too much preservative that I get from it.
And since I have heard about the veggies and all additions, I got to see the healthy foods that I want to...so maybe I would eat it much often now unlike those days.

My husband loves instant noodles but I am worried that he might can get the proper nutrition if I let him eat plain instant noodles. Usually I add some vegetables like carrots, cabbage, onion leeks, bean sprouts and toasted garlic for toppings with hard boiled egg. The taste was really good and very healthy.

I am not really a fan of instant noodles. I just don't like the preservatives that it contains...anyways, still I do eat sometimes but the problem is I tend to cook it plainly.
It's good that you have gotten your husband some proper nutrition even though it's just instant noodles with all the additions you put. It's still look healthy.

So we can actually make some pasta out of it??
That is really great. And I am thinking on what sauce would I put in since I like tomato sauce and white sauce. And I am curious if it taste good since it's just ordinary noodles and not pasta.
Well, we can really be creative with a lot of things. We just need to widen up our imagination toward things.
