I love to make speghetti with oil and garlic. It is cheap and delicious. Another cheap recipe is adding chopped broccoli to speghetti along with the garlic and oil and then toasted breadcrumbs on top. Sometimes the cheap meals are the most memorable. Do you have a favorite inexpensive speghetti meal that you love? Please share.

I enjoy eating spaghetti with plenty of garlic and fresh tomatoes grown in my garden. Its very filling and affordable. When I have extra money in my food budget, then I make turkey meatballs to enjoy. There are so many different sauces that you can add; however, I prefer a tomato based sauce.

When my grandchildren were little, they could come uninvited any day of the year. I freeze pesto (plant my own basil) and I just had to boil some spaguetti and add the pesto and regianitto cheese.

spaghetti soup, onions, garlic, spaghetti noodles and tomato juice for the soup base. I had this all the while I was growing up and I still make it today.

I like to put chili over spaghetti noodles. Chili without beans. It's inexpensive and very filling.

Potatoes with melted cheese was my favorite recipe some time ago. I was making it all the time, when I didn't have the money to cook something else. You only have to cut the potatoes, bake them and when they are already baked in some water, you must put the melted cheese inside. All else you need is spices, salt, black pepper. It's a very cheap and easy for making meal.

Often I will saute a few fresh vegetables in olive oil...garlic always added, of course, and serve them over spaghetti or linguine. Maybe add some ground beef sometimes. I start everything with garlic, onions and mushrooms anyway.

Yep sometimes just butter and cheese is all I have and like you said I'll have a bit of oil and broccoli with it as well when I don't feel like pasta sauce. Since it's winter here we also make ravioli or tortellini or angioloti in a nice broth. It's cheap and you get a few meals out of it which is great and it's tasty too. I don't really get sick of eating pasta but then again I grew up eating it being in an Italian family haha :)
