Quadruple Earnings & Starting a Lot More Discussions

How many of you have been writing a lot more than usual because of the quadruple earnings offer myLot made to make up for their server problems that were caused by the storms on the East Coast over the weekend? The weird thing is that I didn't even know how bad the storms were until a friend contacted me the next day to see if I was OK. I live in New Jersey where a some people are still without power.
All the storms hit south of us, although we knew it was a pretty wicked storm because of the amount of overlapping and incessant lightning and the fact that it was loud enough to wake us up that morning. But, we could also tell that it was south of us, so we didn't think any more about it.
Then, I was looking at my notifications and saw a friend write about the quadruple earnings. When I signed on, I read the alert that told about both the earnings and the extension on the earnings because of the length of time it was taking to resolve the issues caused by the storm (coincidentally, right here in South Jersey - who knew???)
Well, even though I've been trying to be more regular than I had been in a while in responding to discussions, I hadn't yet posted any. Since I learned of the offer, I have been posting as many as came to mind. I don't want to have multiple discussions on basically the same topic with a slight variation to make it count - I want to have verifiably different discussions; although, I admit that three have been about the server problem, but hopefully about some different aspect on it.
My question is what I already asked - have you been writing more since myLot made their offer? Are you answering more discussions or starting more? Or are you doing a bit of both? How have you managed to keep your topics unique?

seems like almost every time I've tried to respond to a discussion, mylot was down - that makes me sad since even though I tried to respond several times yesterday I think I only got a couple to go through! And I have only gotten but 1 - count it ONE notification of the discussion I started!

Same for me. . . :-(. I am trying to write a bit now to make up for lost time, but since mylot was down for me most of today, too, it is a bit of a lost cause. . .mylot's idea was a good one, though!

I wasn't able to reply to anything yesterday or even see what discussions I had already posted. I couldn't comment on responses, either. It seems I'm able to do that now, but when I tried to comment on someone else's discussion, it didn't let me. It just looped back to the original page without any text box to fill out. But, I'm glad I can do this finally.

Most of the days they had the offer I was unable to post. Which is fine I understand there were issues. But today I have been posting alot to catch up. I am here for the entertainment and look at the money as an extra bonus. Whether they offer the extra earnings or not I will still be here!!

The first couple of days, I was only able to post new discussions. I wish I had known about the second extension, though. I didn't get an alert for that one, although others did. I would have posted more discussions at that time. I'm happy for the extra payment, even though I haven't reached payout. It feels like I've achieved something! LOL

I've wanted to be writing more over the quadruple earning days! I got really excited when it was announced and that was my plan. However, mylot has been dysfunctional most of the time that I've tried to post. It's super-frustrating. I hope they extend the days again because of all the problems we've been having. Or at least fix all the problems and then announce a weekend for 4x earnings. I really would be discussing more if I had the opportunity.

I didn't start getting notifications on comments made on my discussions until yesterday. I'm not sure if that's because the system didn't release the notifications of they weren't able to leave comments until then. I've been receiving notifications of my friends' discussions every day, so I think it was the responses and comments that were problematic.

I know what you mean about dysfunction. Although I was able to start discussions, I wasn't able to respond to anyone's. It was good that a few people were able to respond to mine. And, today, I'm able to comment on your responses, when I wasn't able to yesterday.

I'm also thrown off by the lack of notification e-mails, are you having this problem too? I haven't gotten a single notification e-mail this entire time and so in order to know if someone's replied to my comment I've had to go back and check them, which is tiring. I really relied on the notifications before. If I'd gotten one, then I would have gotten back to you in a new york minute!

I haven't found im making any discussions before or after the outages of the site. I also only respond to discussions that interest me as of late also. So no I don't find myself comment more than usual just because of quad earnings. I am a little tired though of seeing what I would of considered 'spam topics' since the notifications about the quad earnings. But who am I to judge I suppose. One user (just to give an example) posted the same thing 4 times but written differently and in different categories I noticed yesterday morning. I am thankful that all of their discussions I'm referring to seem to have been deleted though. I hope mylot clamps down on a few more of them quite honestly.

Yeah - I know I talked about the outage a few times, but it was about something different that I was dealing with or wanted to know. I think that's the only time I've had a similar core topic in several discussions. But, I'm more concerned about the accidental duplicate discussions because when they're on purpose, they are definitely violations. I didn't know there were dupes until today when I could get into my discussions again.

I noticed that some of my friends also had duplicate discussions posted the same day I did, so I think the server caused the problem. The only other time I've accidentally posted dupes was when my computer didn't let me know that my post was accepted, so I tried again only to end up with two. That wasn't often, but this one day every single discussion posted twice.
I agree with you, though, that there will be some surprises for sure.

Well I'd say a few people are gonna be in for a bit of a surprise when they notice their topics getting deleted. Why people think they will get away countless dupes / violation discussions is beyond me. That's what I like about mylot they seem fairly quick on getting those topics deleted. As for accidental dupe discussions that will always happen, but at the same time I blame users for that. Doesn't take long to have a look through discussions to see if its already been asked/answered.

I would have liked to write a lot more and cash in on the 4X earnings but it was down a lot of the time. I managed to get in a few posts here and there but nothing like I wanted to. I couldn't log in all day Tuesday so didn't get to post for the whole day at even regular rate let alone 4X. Oh well, such is life. Hopefully it's fixed now.

Girl, some people have gone slap dab crazy. Writing discussions about nothing, and writing discussions about one topic, but drawing them out to about ten. It's annoying! I'm all for making money, but don't write rubbish. Chance are they'll end up getting deleted anyway.

Tell me about it!! How many times can you talk about your tomato plants (or whatever topic it might be) and have it be a unique discussion? I did try to make my myLot problem related discussions unique - like they weren't just about quadruple earnings, but about some other new thing I was discovering, so we shall see.
But, yes - some things posted by people are really insane and ridiculously alike with hardly any substance.

I haven't been making discussions but have been replying to a lot more than usual to take advantage of triple earnings. Unfortunately Monday and Tuesday will be very low due to all the downtime and errors they have been having. Sunday was great and made dollars and not just cents but Mondays earnings I made pretty much made what I'd usually make if the site was working, it feels like I didn't even geet quadruple! :( Tuesdays will be the same as I have a=only now been able to start posting and replying and have four and a half hours left to do so. I can only hope MyLot doesn't go down yet again and ruin it :(

I am happy for the increased earnings, I have to admit. I've picked up $4 since Sunday. I'm trying to do interesting discussions based on things I'm dealing with and also respond to the notifications I've been getting. Being able to reach payout would definitely be nice!
