I am so thankful to mylot for all the good information i've learned from the discussions of our fellow mylotters. One of them is about crossing our legs while sitting, one over the other. It's unhealthy, but here I am doing exactly the same thing despite of that fact.
I swear I tried not to do it but I feel more comfortable crossing my legs while sitting more than any other position, especially when i'm working on my pc.
*Sigh, some habits are just too hard to break.

Well, I totally agree with you that break certain habits, it is sometimes very difficult! I have many bad habits, unfortunately, and I admit that personally I can not stop them!
In your case, however, can you tell me who said that sitting at the computer with legs crossed is unhealthy?

It's one of the posts here on my lot. I forgot who wrote it and i couldn't find it anymore. Anyway, it is indeed unhealthy as you are blocking your blood circulation.

Hi toni
about crossing our legs while sitting, one over the other. It's unhealthy really? I never knew of that and hey, I am unhealthy if I had to believe that... I always sit that way when I am on the PC
For the bad habits or habits to die... well, we need to exercise the brain a lot more in getting rid of any habit... to much of taxing on my little brain though

I wonder why it is unhealthy.. i see a lot of people do that.. mostly girls though, but there are also a few guys.. It is always hard to break a habit especially if you have done it for year.. but try undoing it, it might take some time, but you can break it if you really want to.

Hi toniganzon, I hope I could be a healthy and decent person as well. I don't know the reason it's not healthy to sit with crossing legs. may be it would affect the blood circulation. I would like to mylot search later related to this. I have great interest to learn more. I have the bad habit to sit with my legs crossed as well. I feel the comfort to sit in such gesture since young.
I agree that it's really hard to break the habits that stick to us for ages. I think I would try to improve for the purpose of health Anyway this most probably would take quite a long time and has to be persistent as well.
Happy posting and have a nice day

I do agree that i do learn a lot here. I was also able to read that discussion about crossing one's leg.. but yes i still do cross my leg. it is really that hard not to do it, it is like a habit, even if i am not thinking about it, i still do it..

Yes it's really difficult to break the habit. But it's not impossible. If we want we can make it possible. We just need to concentrate and keep trying.I had a habit to eat much but now i am trying to break it because of my good health. When i feel to eat i just look at myself so that i don't feel to eat or eat little.

Hey,toniganzon.I suppose so.It's really not easy for one to break the habit that has already developed.Though some are not good,i still feel this is myself. In order to better ouselves, sometimes we should do something right, but sometimes can be something your really like.Good luck,my friend.

Rule of thumb, bad habit can only be replace of a good habit. A little bit like training. If you found a good habit that you can use, do it so your mind will be more interested in doing that then the ones you considered bad habits. Just require some training. Nothing is unbreakable. Even diamonds can be broken.

Habits gradually get programmed in brain and too tough to change it.
