find inmate in jail

Yes im trying to find a friend that is in jail i just want to know if he is still there but everything online you hav to pay for a year or a month but i only need to do it one time where can i go to do this???

best chance would be a private investigator if you want to find them bad enough.

call the jail, ask if he is still being held there or has he been transferred or released. if he has been transferred, where to? if he has been released, when? if he is still being held there, when are visiting hours and when can he get phone calls (if he can). Got to call during business hours though, jailers don't like to answer questions at 3 am

go on line to the sherrif department of the county you think he might be in, example los angeles county sherrif dept, then go to e-services and you can find out whos in jail and also who has warrents.
