I have always been so lucky with my employers that i have never experienced them trying to show me im less my worth in the workplace. I have noticed this with my older brother as he tells my mom about his current employer that his salary is alway delayed and is always almost imposing that he cant make decisions. The thing is i noticed that people sometimes are always like that in his company. As if they are really just some puppets being paid to do their work but work is not aid on time!!
how do you deal with bosses or employers with no word of honor as to the word they gave out to the employees?

My first job was very much like this. He even showed us a video presentation about the hunger problem in Africa to point out that we're actually "lucky". And every time a person resigns he'll say that the person is being ungrateful -- as if the person didn't earn the salary he has received during his stay in the company. He even tried blackmailing me when it's my turn to leave.
This work setting is unhealthy. You brother should leave as soon as he can. He also has to accept that his remaining unpaid salary is already lost and move on to a better company. Whatever the value of it, it is still not worth it.

Im glad you have left this kind of boss already. My brother would be lucky soon as he sent my mom a message a while a go and it seemed positive he can transfer work by the 15th and we are all hoping for the best.
I really just can't believe there are bosses like this who are so mean, they act as if their employees should even be the ones thankful to them that they have been employed. it is just so unfair really... hay i wish that these kinds of people would just feel how it is like to be made a fool...

I'm also glad that your brother will be out of that company soon. There really are those kind of people but I believe they will suffer the consequences sooner or later. After all, what we are and what we will become are the products of our character. :)

I think that this happens because people allow it to. I do not blame them though because I know how difficult it is to get and maintain a job now. It's a killing field out there, survival of the fittest they say. I do hope your brother finds a better job though. It's very stressful to work on a job you don't really enjoy and it becomes worse when paychecks are always delayed.

Well the boss has the habit of really fooling people and luring them too the company. My brother's co-worker there was promised a salary of about 35thousand and so he resigned and transferred, when he came to this office they said they will only give 25thousand first and then will just have increase when business gets better. This company is trying to scam everyone!! Geesh, im glad my brother will soon leave this company. good riddance, i even told him what he should say but well i think he won't my brother seemed too kind for this haha.

That is sad. I think he needs to find another job that makes him happy and find a company that appreciates him! I enjoy my job and they treat me well and are very understanding when things in life happen last minute.

this is bad really. My brother is disheartened and he feels pressured even more because hes got three kids. the fact wad that this boss wad arrogant and even humiliates them during meeting. My brother said that he even heard his boss say he does not need the money and is rich but just likes to have a business... so if he is rich why is he not paying salaries on time and he does not follow their employees salary in agreement.

May be this type of employers really believe deep inside their head and heart they're much clever and superior than their hired hands, so they don't have to show any well manner and common courtesy to their employees, they have to be really mean to convey the message that they are the bosses and above them all. Fortunately, not every boss/employer is mean spirited in general, only few are behaving in this way in reality. I still have some faith left for our present corporate world bosses, they are not all as mean as your brother employer.

yes... That i think is trye. Of course not all employers are like this. I know a lot who are very goo towards their employees. I guess it justdepends and my brother just got unlucky that he got this kid of boss who seemed vwry arrogant and insecure that he always has to make a point that he is better still than every one else. My broter alreafy transferred to new work and starting tomorrow he would no inger see this mean boss... Hehe thank you for taking time to share with us your thoughts on the topic. Regards.

If I where in your brother's situation, I will try to resign and look for another job. Although I understand that it is hard to find job today, having mean employers like giving late salary is not fair. Another way to stop this thing is to report them in the Labor and Employment department about this issue. Employers like them must be given warning to comply with the labor code or else they will be given necessary legal actions.

yes we did tell him to try to find a new job. Just last friday one of his peers was asked by the boss and was told that they will no longer receive a fixed salary amd they will only be given a commission after their sales. So i told my brother hed better rsign and concenteate on finding another work. Anyway most likely he is not to receive anything anymore anyway.

yes the thing is they have salary before and the bos now wants to take i out and they are left wih commision instead. It is not a air move and it appears all the more how cruel this peraon is to im and his other employees. i told him he should just go ind anoter... He has got interviews but still waits for another call from them.

I think for the sales representatives, they will have a fixed salary and a commissions on their total sales. I've been in sales too for some months. Aside from my regular salary, I was also given commissions based on the total sales. Uncleared checks were not yet considered as sales and not included inthe computation of commissions.
I think it is better for your brother to resign and find for another job if that will be the situation right now.

Well it is really hard to have a boos and company like that who don't give the appropriate compensation to their employees.Better find other job if possible or file complains in institution who handled this kind of case.
We know that it is right of the boss or owner to do what he like to do in his company but we employees too have the rights and have the right to complain on things which are not right to us.

Personally this is not good work ethics and not acceptable. To me I would not let it go and be making some complaints somehow. There is no way anyone should ever be expected to work for someone like this. Personally, places of business need to be willing to continue to pay their people on time as expected to ever expect to get all their work they need done. But moving on while making a complaint is always a good option as well.

As far as possible i will try to honor his post and would try to please him, but he continues to complaint about my work then i have no option to approach his superior for his behavior. And if there is also same story repeats then i have no option to work as it is or to hunt for a new one.

find a better job ASAP, send a complaint to uppermanagement or headquarters, and if theyre violating your rights of your employment agreement or contract get a lawyer and take it to a criminal or civil court. Theres a lot you can do, it all depends on where you are and what your doing.

the thing was that he is alredy reporting dirwctly tothe owner himself and the owner was the one who does not sign on their paychecks. He has even heard that oter employees who left did not even get two weeks worth of pay... He is now looking for another job and the boss is a lawyer so my brother thinks filing a case against the owner might only cause more trouble as he may have a lot of friends who will help him too.
