Since around late afternoon yesterday, I have been in front of my desktop, multitasking. I was able to tweak my blog, and another blog and started a lotta discussions here and posted several comments, as well. But, here I am still so wide awake but brain is not functioning properly anymore. I noticed unpardonable misspellings in some of my posts. I, actually, feel like floating right now. Yet, my eyes are still widely open. hihi... Has anyone here experienced not sleeping the entire 24 hours even once in your life? Back during college days, I remember not sleeping for three consecutive days. Well, I had napped, at least about 15 minutes in the cafeteria. On the third day, I can clearly recall how when my eyes were really shutting while the professor was discussing and I was seated right in front of him! hahaha Share if you have any memorable experience related to this.

All the time. Sleep deprivation is just part of being in the military, makes it hard to adjust back to "normal" or civilian life.

So, the Koala in the photo is a military guy! How do you cope up with stress and physical fatigue? I mean, they require your body to work solid!

If you look to my interests and go to Marines, youll see a picture. I like koala bears, they look cute but will tear your face off.

This whole all-nighters thing is so common among youngsters these days. Of course I'm one of them, perhaps incurable. But right now I'm trying to adjust my sleeping cycle because I realized how important enough rest is when you're a student preparing for an important exam. And there's so much to it than just enough rest.. It's also about how you view your mornings.. the sunshine, birds chirping on the rooftop. When I pulled an all-nighter, morning comes and everything seems depressing.

Right. It's everything to most, actually. I met a couple of people who have regular sleeping pattern and when they break it, they don't function properly the entire day. They'd become cranky and their brain function slows down.

That is so true, I just got tired if I didn't sleep enough. It's even hard to catch the humour of a comedy show on tv with a sleepy head!

why do you waste so much time like this ,sleep is quite important without it you are nothing, ideally as per a survey a brain needs atleast 8 hours of rest per day.i feel sleep is quite important than work, whatever it may be,i will not compromise it. You should also not drink late nights since the problem of digestion creeps in for sure and if your eyes compel you ,you must ran away and go and catch some sleep right away.dont do this in future and you may face severe health related problems

Whoaa. This is a really nice discussion. I also same with you, really restless sometimes. I sleep at 4.30 AM daily, because I'm in holiday. Maybe about 3 month I did it everyday! So it's a bit hard to sleep less than 4 AM. But now I'm trying to sleep more regulary, but still not works. I hope can sleep normal again someday :D Sleep is important, to rest our body and mind. regenerate of our body when sleeping.

What causes you to be restless, rahmabaegood? You should be able to trace the root. Cause, with me, it's not that I am restless or anything. My body is just used to keeping awake when necessary. Often, I do this when I have to finish a lot of things. A good way to induce sleep is to drink apple juice before bed time.

During my college days I had internet connection which offered free usage from 2:00 am to 8:00 am. So, I used sleep by 10:00pm and wake up by 2:00 am daily. leaving some lazy nights, I used to have 4 hours of sleep on an average. I used to play games while downloading stuff. And rarely I use this time to complete my assignments and study. After 3 to 4 months I have attained a state where I feared that I cannot have proper sleep again. Indeed they came true partially. Now I can wake up for even slighest sound in my room. Just call me, and I will wake up. I don't know if I have to be happy that I'm alert even during sleep or should be sad that I can't sleep once I wake in the middle of night. Sleep gives immense rest to body and I screwed bit of my mind already. That's a hard way to learn something.

Awww... yeah, everyone is saying sleep is VERY important. It's when we are sleeping that our cells regenerate or something... I dunno but I haven't outgrown the habit of staying awake longer hours. I am already fine with 4 hours of sleep the most. Still am active and I can last the entire day. Still effective in what I do. But, there are times when my body gives up on its own. So, there will always be at least 3 days in a month or two that I'll be sleeping for more than 10 hours each day.
