Baby Patterns

I've been looking all over the internet for cute, simple enough, one-skein patterns for baby blankets, hats, and booties. So far, hats and booties are the only things that I can find cute patterns for that take less than one ball of yarn. For the blankets, I don't want something with HUGE holes in it that the baby could get tangled in, but I don't want something that has to be terribly tightly crocheted. I'd modify a pattern, if I had the time to.
Anybody have any patterns they'd like to share?

Do you only crochet or do you knit too?
I have a pattern that is knitted that I am working on for my daughter that is expecting in September.
If you do knitting let me know I will look at the pattern again and it might be for both some patterns will be done for crochet or knitting. Also you might try
www.freepatterns.com
they have all sorts of craft patterns for a lot of different craftings in each section.
Let me know if you find what you are looking for.

I only crochet. I never learned how to knit properly.
Thanks for the ideas.
