This is a line from Avril's song, "Nobody's Home". It reminds me of my high school years when I felt like staying out. Not because there's really no one home. It's more of, they are all home but it's as if no one is home since they're all too busy with their own concerns and activities. It's as if I was alone whenever I was home. And, I am sure that it is not only me who felt this thing. Many are wishing to have a family that supports and show concern for one another. Not the one that just stay together but almost not having conversations even in the dining table.
Everyone needs attention. And this attention is mostly needed from family members. From parents. Especially the generation today. They're much more advanced and they are left alone to themselves because their parents are too busy making more money to pay for obligations. It's good. Am not saying that they shouldn't. Besides, the kids need their parents to support them financially until they're done with school. But, there's nothing more important than keeping close. Material can come after.
I am not surprised why many of today's generation are into songs that are of the same theme.

Her greatest song in my opinion would be "I'm with you"
Back to the topic, I remember this song and its music video. Which is about a girl who runaway because she is in a dysfunctional family. I remember in the music video, Avril have black hair and she plays the role of a homeless girl who is most likely a runaway. I am 16 years old when this song got famous. I cant believe this song is already more than a decade. It still sounds fresh and recent.

Hello,this is the first day I have registered account.When I looked at this,I felt a lot.Of course Avril is one of my favourite songs,I am deeply attracted with her songs and her charming voice.Everytime I listen to music,I always like repeating her music again and again.
To talk about the theme,I began to miss my home and family.Now I am a college student and have been learned far from home,I go back to home once a term.So I like making a phone call to my parents.By chatting with them,the sense of missing home can be better.I think everyone needs a home,and it's really indispensable for us.So just as you said,there's nothing more important than keeping close.we need do more effort about this.
