I have always enjoyed walking. It is something I never get tired of doing simply because it is the easiest and cheapest way to get fit. You do not need a guide on how to do it right nor to be in the right gear to have it done. It is the first milestone we have achieved when we were babies and the last thing that will be missed once our bodies showed the signs of weakness and old age.
A lot of people underestimate the benefits of walking, thinking that it is not an effective form of exercise. I totally disagree. It is not just the most profitable form of exercise, but the most basic one we can do without even trying too hard.
What about you, do you think walking is a great way to get fit ?

I LOVE walking! A few months ago, my mother and I bought pedometers and made "competition" : who could get the most steps in per day? It was great for me to form this habit and I really enjoy trying to get a walk in whenever I can.
I also like that I don't have to change my clothes, go somewhere special, or worry about getting a shower afterward in order to do something that's good for my body!
However, I would encourage anyone who is trying to lose weight and increase mobility not to neglect other forms of exercise. We should try to vary our routines and work different muscle groups. Someone might have a low percentage of body fat, but they might develop joint problems or mobility issues. It's important to workout to improve overall body function.
Best to you all!

Yes, I do. Walking is so simple for most people and it's the most natural way to keep our bodies moving. Walking also helps boost my mood and gives me a good excuse to get outside.
I have read that walking exercises the body gently but thoroughly and can be even better for you than hard exercise.

You are right, walking is the cheapest form of exercise. You will not need anything to make a walk. You can also enjoy walking by having a companion and walking in a scenic places. You already enjoyed the views and have an exercise at once.

Walking is good in every way, but making yourself dependent on it as your primary source of exercise or way to get fit doesnt give you the substantial amount of benefits that other exercises give in my opinion. I find lifting weights and other cardio such as jogging convenient and you can really reap the benefits of doing them if you know how to do them correctly. IMO if you can find the time to be able to push yourself to the limit, then I think you should grab the opportunity to do so, but if not, then make the most of what is given to you.
