Was Katie Holmes extrewme in her moves to file for a divorce from Tom Cruise?

We can't know 100% sure what Tom was like in this relationship, but from all the gossips and news, he was just a nutcase and an abusive, religiously bigoted jerk... so if it really is the case, I'm not surprised at all that Katie did moves like this, because these kinds of men could do everything to make their spouses' lives like hell if they got to know of their intentions... he would kidnap Suri, blackmail Katie etc. I think Katie is fortunate that she has her relations and that she is wealthy and popular and people like these, the best of the best would help them. In a relationship like that, if the people were "normal" everyday people, the woman couldn't get out of the relationship, as usually they have no help, or if they do, they are going to be harassed by the guy and no one would care to stop those jerks.

I think she was smart for doing things the way she did. I think it made for an easier break for her and less tramatic for her. She clearly had her mind made up and knew what she wanted in life. I imagine it was hard being his wife and not having her own identity. No one knows surly what happened. There's speculation it's about religion but the only one who truly knows is them. And I haven't seen any reaction from him so I'm sure he knew it was coming.

We'll never know until we read the whole story. And even then, we have to make sure it's a reliable source. The newspapers thrive on gossip like this to sell so I think it will take some time to find out the real truth. I probably would trust her book, if she writes one, since it will be told by her. I'm sure she had her REAL reasons for leaving but we'll just have to wait to analyze it all.

Well it is because of his cult. That cult is known to be controlling of its members especially for newer members like Katie Holmes. His husband Tom Cruise being a high member of that cult does not help too.

i think she has taken the decision which suits ideal and best for her,anyways lets appreciate it as they each people have their own lifestyle so one must not interfere in this.but in this way also i hope that she gets a huge sum of money from tom cruise.i cant figure out any problem in both sides.both made a good pair

We don't know the whole sroty here but I would have to assume that everything she has done is because if Tom found out he would do something drastic and crazy. I think he is a bit of a nutcase and he is really into this Scientology crap. I've heard a lot of nasty stories about those guys taking peoples money and them forbidding them to leave the complex into the outside world. There have been a few kids who have escaped and will never see their families again because of their defiance. I think there are a lot of brainwashed people in there I wouldn't be surprised if he was domineering and abusive and being a mother now Katie has to think about Suri and her welfare which is why they split. She may not have escaped if she didn't have a child.
