How to remove stain from the shirt?

I have this light yellow t-shirt with the logo of our department on the left side. I used it last Wednesday and I accidentally stained it with an ink on the right side. This is one of my favorite shirts so when I got home, I decided to wash it outright but I can not remove the stain using detergent. I am also afraid of using bleach because of its color. Do you have any suggestion on how to remove an ink stain on a colored fabric? Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I ditto the vinegar and lemon juice cure. I mix with a mild detergent, making a paste that can be worked into the stain. If stubborn, I let sit overnight, rinse in cold water and then reapply. It sometimes takes a while but it usually does the trick.

Hello, I think ink stain is naturally difficult to be removed. This is especially true when the ink is not water-based. While it might be quite hard to really remove the stain in a very short while, perhaps you might want to try washing it for a few attempts. With normal body bar soap, apply the soap directly on the stain and let it lather until a lot of foam appears. Scrub gently and repeatedly, then rinse. Then apply a new coat of soap and repeat the same thing over and over again. Do this until you can get rid of the stain completely. It takes time and effort, I know but hopefully this method is able to help you get rid of the stain for good. You can also send it to a laundry service? They might be able to help you solve the problem more effectively. Good luck!

It would be easier if the shirt is white, but my shirt is yellow so I can not use any kind bleaching solution. Thank you for the suggestion ladysurvivor.

I always use bleach in doing the laundry as I no longer have to use fabric conditioner after using bleach. Our clothes still smell good even if it is rainy season. They say that it 99.9% germ free as well (Just don't know if it's true since I already saw that in the commercial). I used color safe bleach on colored fabric. It is more expensive than the usual bleach but I really like it. I like its smell and I feel that our clothes are cleaner every time I use that. It is color safe so maybe you can used that for your stained shirt.

Other than vinegar, use lemon or other citrus fruit ( with white or clear juice, not orange, the color might stain). Brush it on the stain, after soaking it in warm water. My dad used to stain his shirt on the pocket because of pen ink stain, that method is how mom usually deal with it.I'm the one who usually ordered to brush the lemon, haha.

Wow! This is something new to try. Actually, its been a week since I asked that question and yet up to this time I was not able to try any suggestions that I received because I really am so busy. Perhaps this afternoon when I returned to my boarding house I could try it already. Thank you for the suggestion. I really appreciate it.

You can try to use an extracted juice from a lemon. Put it in a stain part, leave it for a couple of minutes. Then, wash it. It is only applicable in white clothes.
