Summer is Worse than Winter

I have been struck with a horrible summer cold. Its not the worst I've EVER had, but its not a nice one either.
I was trying to use my netti pot to help ease the congestion, and the saline solution WOULD NOT flow through my sinus at all. It just went in one nostril and stayed there. No help at all. Not to mention that the saline burned my poor raw nose horribly.
Last night while I was having trouble sleeping because of the snotting and sneezing I decided that a summer cold is worse than a winter cold.
My reasoning is that in the winter you can "cozy up" when you are sick. Get a cup of hot cocoa or soup, and bundle up under a warm afghan on the sofa. Small comforts like that that might help you feel some better.
But in the summer, there is no way to get cozy. At least, not for me.
What do you think, do you think summer or winter colds are the worst? How do you make yourself feel better when you are struck with a summer cold?

Colds can be never nicer. lol..
Even I think summer cold is more terrible one. Actually I don't have that much cold in the winter. But I do have it many times in the summer. That's why I don't like summer at all. I am quite happy with winter as I can do something about more cold, but in summer its really toooooo hot.

It is too hot! I'm happy now that it is cooling off again. Although we had an 80 degree day yesterday. That was a bummer.
And even though it is still warm, both of my kids have a cold.

Of course i also feel the same since summer is very hot and the humidity factor is quite high and the coziness is less whereas on winter we can really pile up the warmth and comfort factor and i hate summer for sure since the sweat is unbearable .when i face a summer cold i will use medicines or eagerly wait for the winter to arrive.winter is always pleasant and welcoming

I had a cold a few weeks ago and it went into a secondary condition once it had gone. It hung on for way too long with a running nose that was ever so irritating. I felt that my throat felt snotty and it was hard to eat. A summer cold is much worse than a winter cold. Today is cool and ever so rainy. I wonder where the summer sunshine is. This is meant to be July but it feels more like January. Good luck getting over your summer cold and I hope that you will feel better soon.

I guess you are right. Summer cold is worse than winter cold. Because you won't get comfortable if you try to bundle up yourself, it just too hot to do so. At the same time, you want to get better soon and faster. So, you won't be able to turn up the A/C, or get yourself cold again. The only suggestion I can give you, be patient, and do whatever the doctor or other suggest you to do. Don't forget the medication.

I don't think that getting cold would make me any sicker, but its just not the same kind of comfort cooling down as it is trying to get warm.

I had experienced this, I hate walking under the sun during summer. I've been to a country. Both seasons are so extreme. I can't sleep enough, since the power was interrupted every 4 hours. I tend to soak myself in a bath tub with ice during that summer.
