Having career fatigue

Have any of experienced career fatigue? I feel like I'm no longer growing career-wise in my present work. Like I'll be stuck with this forever if I didn't move out. It's the same routine everyday and very laid back that I seldom get pressured for output.
So I'm contemplating career change. Any advise fellow Mylotters?

If you can no longer stand your current job, then switch only if you already have somewhere to work for. At this time, a lot of people are struggling to keep their jobs and for every vacancy, hundreds are lining up vying for that position.
I suggest you test the job market first. try to send out your CV and see how soon you get calls. Usually, that's a good indication of the availability of job for your chosen career. Otherwise, just suck it up for a little bit more. Remember the paycheck!

If your feeling that way it might be that you are already bored with your job or already on the stage where you feel that you already have done everything to prove yourself. I would suggest you talk to your superior about your career plans, let them know what you feel. Ask if you can be with another department or ask if there is any promotion that is available. That is better than moving from one company to another unless you already have an option to move out...

Maybe you could get a second job not related to your current job and see how things go first? it's very risky to leave your work and get into something that you have no experience of.. just my opinion :)
