I prefer to swim in a pool. Last time I swam in a lake I got a nasty infection in a cut I had. I like to go to the lake and look at the view but not to swim.

I would rather swim in a pool as well as it is cleaner and feel safer in a pool than in the ocean water. Plus you do not know what is in the ocean water, whether a shark, needles, other objects and also have to worry about big waves.

Since I'm not a good swimmer, I prefer pools because there are no waves that will attack me. I also find it easier to hone my swimming skills in a pool 'coz I'm sure of the pool's depth, unlike in open water, where I don't know if I'm already in a deep part.

I like swimming in swimming pool, or even in open water like river and sea. Swimming is a nice exercise too.

That's a good reason though you can't enjoy a strong wave...

That is subject to debate, pools are supposed to be safer, water being changed more often and all...
