Normally i do not have problems waking up in the morning. Honestly! No matter what time i wake up, i always wake up early. I would often wake up at 5 in the morning, my body clock is just used to it. But i do not know what happened today and i woke up at exactly 6:14!!! Now that might be still early for some but it is not for me. lol. My kids have school at 7:10, that is their assembly time and we need to be up and about by 5am so things will go smoothly. So i tell you things were not smooth this morning. Lol. It was like a tornado, i need to get things fast. Thank God my Mom was there and when i went to the kitchen, the food was cooked. Bless her! I am so ever thankful she is here. Anyways things were still rushing lol my kids also woke up early as they always depend on me to wake them up. I had to wake them up and had to prepare their clothes. They had to take a shower in a rush! I never really want to be this way again. It sucks. I am not used to it. My kids had to take both their breakfast and lunch to school which i really hate too, they just have to eat it during recess. I am not so proud of it right now. I know my kids were late for school and my daughter kept mumbling..darn i had to sign the late book again.

It's a good thing that your mother is there to prepare the breakfast for you. Had i been in your place, i would ask our HR that i am not feeling well, and have to be on leave, lest i will be snappy at everyone in the office. So, you better set the alarm at night for you to be surely awakened at an early hour.

Would you believe if I tell you that I could not sleep last night. It was absolutely a sleepless night for me.Why,I don't know.So I left my bed at 3am early in the morning and now I am sitting before my pc doing Mylot. My son got up at 5am.He had to go to the gym.The first thing that I did after getting up was offering prayer and chanting the name of God.Then I watched the discovery channel on tv.I love to watch on the channel 'I shouldn't be alive.'So I watched the full episode and just the moment the episode ended, power supply was cut for an hour as if it was waiting for the episode to end.Thank God!By then I had drawn the inspiration necessary for me and now I hope my day is going to be very cheerful.

It's natural. You are not used to spending sleepless nights.I am,because I had to remain awake for the whole night to look after my mother who was seriously ill.Despite all our efforts she at last passed away, and spending sleepless nights became normal for me.You may dub me a nocturnal person.

I have nightmares about waking up late and being late to work. I need to be there at 6 am. I think maybe an alarm clock is something you and the kids need. Maybe pick out clothes the night before as well.

Hahahaha I know how you feel. I too am an early person, though I don't need to wake up at 5am! I'm so thankful I am not living in a city where traffic is routine! hahaha.. Anyhow, similar happened to me when I was with my partner. We actually just had a routine day and night together. We didn't do anything that would require much sleep afterwards, activities were limited to talking and television. I usually would wake up earlier than him to cook and prepare his things before he goes to work. But that day was just weird! We both woke up at 9am! I was supposed to wake up at 6am and he was supposed to be at work at 8:30am! But regardless the alarm clocks (clocks because we had like 3 alarms from 2 cellphones and an alarm clock) but neither heard any alarms that day! Perhaps we were so comfortable sleeping that we lost track of time! hahaha.. He had to call in sick hahahaha.. We just laughed thinking that sort of thing never happened to us before. Whew! I do hope that your body wouldn't be used to rushing and I hope you wake up early tomorrow! Good luck to all of us! Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

That happened to me and my husband too, when you feel like just wanting to sleep in and not wake up or not stand up and just be in bed the whole day!

Hi friend... Well, i always get up from bed at the same time as you. But as it is summer vacation for this July, i am sleeping as much as i can. Like you i have also missed my classes for not getting up early as my alarm clock was set on wrong schedule. I put PM instead of AM and that was an incident that never forget. Have a nice time and hope no mistake for next time.

You are very lucky jazel as you have your mom to help you. It is such a blessing to wake up and food is already on the table. Perhaps there are really days that you cannot help but wake up late and that your body just yearned a little bit more time to rest.

Times like that you'll never expect it sometimes we overslept and even our body clock failed. Maybe it's time for you to teach your children to wake up on their own set them a alarm clock so that they will not depend on you. Or they are the one will wake you up when it happened again.

Hi jazel Ouch! You were partying late last night, I guess ps. use an alarm clock as an alternate safety measure (and like me - press the snooze button on it when you dont want to wake up) c'mon dear, your body needs rest and you should not overdo things. take care. you would be better soon

Somtimes this happens to us too especially when our alrm clock does not work. We mainly rely on the alrm in our cellphone. When this happens, we will immediately get off the bed and prepare, just what you said, like a tornado, as fast as we can. However, what we just did is to have breakfast in our office instead at home. When ths happened, we are blesses that my son's nanny was already cooked our breakfast and we just packed it up and have it at work.

Hi jazel! I know how it feels 'cause I've experienced that so many times, haha! I remember I woke up late and my son was also surprised to see that I woke him up late and he told me he will just absent himself from school but I told him that's not the right solution for it,I told him to move fast and help each other to prepare everything and voila,we did, haha! You are right about the tornado thing, lol! I'm sure my son would have thought that I will permit him to just stay at home but unfortunately,it did not happen, haha! I know when my son feels lazy in going to school and that time,I felt it,haha!

i know the feeling too, when you know you lack time and the only resort that gets inside your mind is not to go lol it happened to us as well but then they just cannot absent themselves just because they are late.

Jazel, jazel, come down..No one is calling Child Protection Services on you...you over sleep its ok..you had help you were not even counting on, your mom...Its not something you do everyday or even every other day..life was a little off schedule for you and those around you this morning, but EVERYONE survived.. Don't be so hard on yourself....it happens to the best of us...

Aww, too bad. But it's okay, we're entitled to tardiness at least a couple of times a month. I just comfort myself by saying that it's my body's way of trying to keep itself healthy by making sure I will sleep right thru my alarm. Yeah I know it sounds so lame haha!
