I want to teach matriculation and higher secondary students online.I can teach them all subjects, but prefer to guide them in maths and English. The problem is that I don't know how to teach students. How can I make the subjects interesting?
Would you please show me the way?

In my opinion, teaching students online is a little not reality,my be you can join some training school. If you can teach Maths I think your are very competitive since there are a lot of students need to improve the maths.

But what I am told is just the opposite.I have come to know that there are sites that provide you online tuition jobs and arrange students for you as well. They even train you how to teach online. The only condition is that you must be having a good knowledge of the subject you are going to teach and you must be able to clear the doubts of your students. If you are a good teacher, online tuition may be a very good source of your income.

oh I understand you, cause in my city the online teaching is rare so I never hear that there are some sites that can provide online tuition jobs,so the online jobs need some verify certification?Cause if you just tell them you can teach it is not persuasion,so I think if you have some certification that will be better.

What a nice teacher! I think you should always go with how do you would love to be thought, I think that when we do it the way we'd love to receive the magic happens, it becomes intersting. Like when I'm buying a present I always give what I'd love to receive but of course, transfering to the recipient and trusting is something the person will need.

Hi KatieO,I would take full interest in teaching students and would try my level best to make subjects interesting, but don't know how to do it.Perhaps I would have to bring myself down to the grasping capability of the students as coalgun has suggested me.I agree with you.I would have to win the trust of the students, because it is they who are the recipients of the knowledge I am going to give them.
Thanks for sharing.

The best to know how to teach students is to put yourself in their shoes. Analyze the situation from their viewpoint. Ask yourself how would you want yourself to learn the subject. then the going gets easy and your students also will start liking your classes. Best of luck

Absolutely right, coalgun. You have really got me.In order to make the subjects interesting,I would have to bring myself down to the grasping capability of my students, otherwise they would not understand what I teach them.A student starts liking a teacher and the subject he teaches only if and when the teacher tries his best to explain to him the subject from his view point.By the way, would I need a webcam for it?

If you want to impart your lessons online then a webcam is a must. Through a webcam you can connect in a more effective way than otherwise. your students will be able to see you and the visuals. For subjects like mathematics which involves drawings and models visuals through webcam can make great impact!!!!!11

I had tried teaching students on-line, it is more on teaching English language. The students should have the same book you are using from the other line. The conversations will follow after reading a topic or correcting the grammar.

hello else22
Teaching online is a little bit challenging but fun. I guess it's better to ask help from a friend and ask her to act as a student. And try to record your conversation. After the rehearsal try to listen the recording and you will know if the conversation is interesting or not. I mean you will know which area seems to be boring.
You can teach them also different styles and stragies by observing classes by other friends(if you have friends teaching online).
Try to personalize the topic and engage them in every discussions..
Have a great day..^_^

Thanks a lot for the useful suggestion.Ok,I will try it with one of my friends. If he gets satisfied with my style, then I will try it with another. And then if both of them like my style of teaching and grasp the subject,I will start teaching online.Actually I don't like ending up failed.

yes of course you can do that but there are some restrictions by the way ,you need to be well versed and must be able to promote your site well and have a good reputation to go with it,then only you have large no of students referring your courses and you can also have a doubt clearing session where you can clear their queries in brief.i believe youtube is best for it
