Today I was charged certain amount of money for without any reason. To know about the reason for the balance deduction I just called the customer care executive. They told that the reason behind the deduction is activating a service. I did not touch my phone on that day then how comes it getting activated ? This really amazed me. May be the ghost had done this I feel calling customer care executive for such deductions is just a waste of the time and I will never never to get them again. The only thing I can do is just make use of all the rights of a customerbut the question is HOW?? How should I react to it ? Did you ever felt any such unwanted deductions from your mobile ? How did you deal with it ? Did the customer care services gave you a polite reply ? Please share all you experience and you thoughts!

Most of the SIM operators are charging simply without any reason. Really they are making our pockets empty. We people cannot react to it and cannot get those money back. So, what did you do when you balance got reduced ? Did you get the money back ?

Yes, once the money got deducted, we can't get any refund from them. you are making the right choice by cancelling the service. That's why sometimes we should be careful with whatever message that we receive from the service provider. Because some of them are paid message and our money got deducted.

The only way you can make to clarify how the balance was deducted is to call the customer care for the explanation. If the explanation doesn't make sense, you could go to their business workshop for face to face conversation. As a matter of fact, I do not calculate the balance on the mobile phone carefully. I am not sure if they have deducted much than I have actually used. I suggest you go to the business workshop to figure out what is going on for your balance deduction.I am sure they would give the reason of what you want. If the answer they gave does not what you want, just cancel that card.

Going to business workshop is a good idea but the problem is, I don't know where is it situated. I have to contact customer care to now about the location of the shop. Hope this will help me to get correct explanation to the reduction in the balance.

Getting bad publicity about a services will lead to loose a lot of customers but the problem is how to get this happened. I am a simple person I cannot do anything at them, as I am single and no powers are behind me.

Did you tell the customer care person that you did not activate the service? Companies try that scam all the time and if you just pay them then have succeeded in stealing your money. Tell them you did not ask for and do not want that service and that you want a refund of the money they charged.

It is a hassle to get anything back from them but if we don't raise a fuss they will just keep doing it over and over. When I did get a refund most of the time it was either credited back to my account if I had an ongoing service with them or credited back to the payment card I used to make the payment. They will rarely send an actual check.

I had told them really what happened but still they are not refunding it. Anyway past is past and I had asked them not to happen the same in future. If such a issue again gets happened I should react to it. Did you ever got the refunding facility ? How do they give it ?

Hi Wonder, i ever rang the Customer care for my cellphone provider once when i was surprised to see at why i was being deducted a few bucks. to my surprised that the customer care informed me that i had activated a service by replying to a message that was send to me. I immediately asked the customer care to cancelled my activation. I am happy that the customer care which i had spoken too, was very helpful person. There are times that i ever came across some customer care who are very rude and don't even able to give the correct information when i called them.

Some of the customer care executives are very polite. They help us a lot but there are some rude ones, who don't even love to explain the correct reason behind the problems in our number. Getting a good polite customer executive to solve the problem is luck.

wb, sorry to hear about this. I faced this kind of issues plenty of times. Cell phone providers are giving various schemes and offers to get more customers as well as deduct our money in various ways. Most of us don't know about their tactic and fall as a victim to them. Recently one of my friend bought a new sim card which is offering 1000 sms free for a day. He is a great sms savvy and send a lot of sms every day, so he think this card is apt for him. Most of the time he used his new card to send sms, he don't make calls with it. Few days before he is in need to make a call with his number and shocked a lot after making the call. The service provider deducts 10 rupees(20 cents) for 2 minutes call. He called to the CC persons and complained about it. They told that his card is especially designed for sms, so he will get benefits by sending sms with it. If he made a call using that card, they will deduct 5 rupees per minute. He is very much disappointed with this reply. Also some cell phone providers will activate some add on services like Missed call alerts, caller tune song change, sending joke sms, news sms and some other services without our permission and deduct money from our account. If we make a call to the CC person they will tell that some service is activated in our mobile, so only we are losing our money and we are in need to deactivate the service to come out from the deduction. Really this kind of issues are great annoying things to the cell phone subscribers. Most of the cell service providers are money minded and don't give importance to the customer's inconvenience. Hope this kind of cell services will realize our depressions due to this kind of unwanted deduction and give up this kind of activities. We must check all the terms and conditions before buying the sim card and know about all the rules and regulations to avoid unwanted disappointments in the future.

I have not had an unpleasent experience with Customer service in many years, even when I forgot to pay a bill one month, they were very understanding and did not report it to my credit account. Of course I paid the fee, I was the one that overlooked this.

So far, I did not had any such issues with the customer care of mobile service. However, such things do happen. It sometimes becomes annoying to deal with the operator. However, do not give up, and try to pressurize the customer care to solve the issue fast.

Go find another network then if the one you have now has hidden agendas. I never had any issues with both of my mobile networks. Well, before they were owned by different companies, now they merged and it went even better. I always call customer support and get good responses without being charged. I'm sorry to hear you were charged with something you didn't really even did.

It depends on the person that will answer when you call the customer care! I have used it a few times and they aren't always very happy to help! However, it has happened to me as well to find that I have been charged for services that I didn't activate. I have a contract so I realised it at the end of the month and I immediately called the customer service to cancel everything that had been activated. I think you should do the same, just cancel the service and stop the charges before you find new ones when you check your balance again.

I used to have calling tune service and I liked it at that time but right now it's not important to me. It was something new and popular and everyone had a song for calling tune but now only a few people are still using it! I think it will dissapear eventually. Regarding to your problem, I hope you won't have any more charges in the future and this issue is solved.

Yesterday I had just received a message with content, you had activated the caller tune service by charging 30RS month. At the very same moment I had called customer care executive and asked them how it happened. They people do not have an proper answer how it happened. Mostly it may be the problem with the server. Anyway I will not get paid. I just asked them to deactivate all the services in my number and I request them to not have the same issues again. How do you feel about the caller tune service ? Do you feel it is quite important ?

I also one time suffered about this activation. We are not doing anything but we are charged for that. After this activation happened on that day i called the customer care and they told me if you do not want this service or any services like the activation sms to don't care service. So you can try it by contacting your customer care executive. May be this helpful to you.

It's a common trick which the mobile service supplier usually use, and I have sufferd by this for several times. I hate this kind of action so much and I will never choose this kinds of service from them. My experience is also call their customer service directly, require them to give a available clarification. You should use a strong attitude to them and require your unwanted deduction back. Don't be shy and if necessary you can tell them you will take the weapon of law to protect your personal right.
