I have quite oily skin, causing me to sometimes get enlarged pores.
However, because I use things to soak up the excess oil, or sebum my skin can sometimes get dry and red due to the fact I have eczema.
But then again, if I use normal scrubs, or normal cleansers, the moisture in them clogs my pores as it mixes with my oily skin, causing little bumps.
This isn’t a constant thing, and only happens every 2/3 weeks and lasts for a week or so then goes back to normal, but it is still annoying having to watch what I use.
I was recently recommended Dermologica for oily skin. Apparently it soaks up the oil, and reduces it from coming bacl, but is also moisturising enough not to make my skin dry and annoy my eczema. And there is clay in the product to restrict the moisture from soaking in, to avoid the little bumps.
I have never used these products before and they seem very expensive, but if they work then I’d be more than happy to pay it.. but it would be such a waste of money if they didn’t work!
What do you think of this?

Sounds like your condition might be related to your monthly cycle. Have you had a word with your doc? Might save wasting your money on products that only treat the symptoms.

You should always think twice before using the products. Like ranger said, research the product and read reviews over the internet before you buy it. Dont waste your money on useless products rather waste time researching and finding useful products.
Quite a few dermatology experts says that oil blotters are not good for oily skin. It will be better for you to use wet a tissue and then use it to wipe your face. The reason being blotters suck up the oil inside oil glands. When this happens, a depletion of skin oil is detected by your system and then your body will secretes more oil to maintain the amount of skin oil present on the surface. This leads us back to square one where we have oily skin yet again.

oh dear I don't like the sound of that, but I really need something! I can't even wear make up anymore, because the minute I do it just turns oily lol!
