Don't they load it all up with extra fat, sugar and salt just to make it taste so good that you come back for more??? I find that I just can't eat that much at restaurant for that very reason. I don't feel good after just a couple of visits to those restaurants. How about you????

Restaurants love their butter. They use butter in most everything. Butter can make EVERYTHING taste insanely delicious, from fish to sauce to bread to your fingers. So yes, it's loaded with what you term "extra fat". If you eat too much of it, then yes, you don't feel too good. You can do an experiment in which you eat an entire tub of butter, and record how you feel afterwards. It might not be too nice. Sugar and salt? Yes, there are those too. They make food insanely delicious too.

Eat an entire tub of butter???? Cart me to the hospital!!! You are right about one thing. Restaurants do make it all taste good. Now, if only they could figure a way of doing it healthy. Maybe, I ask too much.

It is just what I think of.Many restaurant only pay attention to the colour, smell and taste of a dish so that they can have more frequent visitors. They don't care about if it is a wholesome food.As I see it,when it comes to being healthy, there is nothing like home cooking.

Yes, I agree. On the other hand, some people can not cook. Still, there are simple meals with simple foods one can eat that is healthier than restaurants.

Restaurant food - Very expensive but how healthy are they?
I believe restaurant foods are almost always not healthy. Indeed they are loaded with additives to enhance the taste so that customers will be delighted and keep coming in. So it is better to just prepare your own food at home. You can be sure if the food is really healthy and clean if you are the one who prepare it.

I think you are right. Growing your own garden takes this do-it-yourself a bit further. It's healthier than eating any processed foods.

Hi bird: That's right my friend. I have no doubt that when we make food at home we select the best products and we could be more aware when we chose the products. In my case I would take a look to the healthier products. However we sometimes prefer restaurants even if they make us fat. You just need to find the perfect balance. I sometimes go to eat at a local restaurant I really love but I know it's not the healthiest option I have so I stop doing this when I am no a diet ALVARO

Yes, restaurants can be a big draw especially after a long day, tired, and we know that restaurant food will taste good. On the other hand, that little extra effort to make ourselves a healthier option will make a difference in time.

There are some restaurants which they catered organic foods. If you are veggies, you can go for restaurant that provides vegetables as their menus. It will be also better if you maintain balance diet, that is, meat and vegetables.

Not really but it depends on what type of restaurant you are going. Some fast food chains have food which are reach it fats and that's the reason why it is delicious and some people are coming back for more. The fats are adding up flavor to it that it makes it tasty and can. Some restaurants are good for the health especially Chinese foods because the process is steamed and its less fat. But be careful because some of it can cause abdominal distention and food poisoning which is eaten in raw formed.

Yes, there is nothing worse than food poisoning. We better pick only the Cleanest restaurants, then hope the food is safe too.

Well there are those that are really filled with fats most especially the fast food type. But there are also those that serve healthy foods. It all depends on what kind of restaurant you go to and what kind of food you order.

Some restaurants have good taste of food but for sure it was all spiced of lots additives. Of we can't get the right diet we need or required diet because in the 1st place it is a commercial dinin place. Anyway let's admit that eating in a class restaurant is some kind romantic especially dinner with our sweetheart...:) So nice to eat a well and good food.

Maybe, you are right. Restaurants should be a special occasion, rather than eating there every day.

It depends to the type of restaurant, theres restaurant that only cook the food upon ordering and you need to wait which is more i like to make sure the food is new cook and not double cooked i mean it was cook to day then if theres left then they will put it in the fridge then they will cook it the next day which is not healthy. Fast food on the other hand for me is not healthy due to stored fats, salt though there's artificial in some of the food they use like in burgers or others. Its more healthy if we cook at home coz we know that the vegetables nor meat nor fish we use is fresh and clean since were the one who buy it from the market.

Yes, buy it fresh before mankind can doctor it up. That is the only true way to be healthy.
