Bite me!

How close have you come to saying that to someone? Whether on mylot or in person? No, it's not nice. And I try not to say or write something I'm going to regret later. Which is why I didn't juse type 'bite me' as a response to another mylotter just now. But I wanted to! Maybe some of our German or Filipino friends have a saying native to their language that means the same thing? What would it be?

Being southern, I tend to bless a lot of hearts! Mostly while I'm driving, or trying to navigate my cart through a busy grocery store. If the offender does something bad enough I will use a selection of four-letter-words and suggest they do things that are anatomically impossible. The joys of being raised by and around sailors. ~Mandy

Oh, man, I need to remember to start blessing a few hearts. That would be rather quaint as I do not live that far south. Welcome to the Lot I hope you have fun.

My dad says 'bless their heart' when he sees someone really ugly. I mean really ugly, and they don't know how to make themselves look better. He'll get a sad look on his face and say, "Bless their heart." And he's totally serious.

HA HA!! I don't know if "bite me" comes to mind first, but I can think of some other similar sayings (which are probably worse) that I have come close to saying!! Once and I while I get some rude comment on myLot in which I would love to slap their face for saying it - BUT - yes, gotta keep nice-nice here, so I don't even go there.

Well, I don't curse. Because if I did, I'm sure something else would come to my mind too.

hi AmbiePam I know of one center mylotter here who drov me to insulting back and had my discussion deleted because I let her get to me. I should have just reported it. she has a way of saying really hurtful things but in a roundabout way so anyone looking would tell me I am just sensitive but she knew damned well she was hurting me b making fun of me in an underhanded way so I could not really report her yest she was sticking the knife in. I really think bite me might just have done it but still one could know you would lose your comment or response by doing that. so I just thought it instead.Maybe the Valley girls gag me with a spoon would be a good equivalent to bite me.I have noticed the woman has not graced me for a longtime with her sarcasm.I always feel if you do not like a mylotter just leave them the heck alone.Do not be a sourpuss and keep digging at them.

hi dear Ambie, never heard "bite me" so far, can only imagine..... I feel like saying some not so friendly things too, sometimes. I am in the good situation that I know some choice stuff in another language few understand where I work so I can safely mutter that when things are tough.

Not sure what German or Filipino people would say but we say "take off, eh". Trouble is it isn't really a bad thing. To me it just means "go on" or "shut up" which means not shut up but "your kidding me right"? I'm not so sure bite me is really so bad as it seems but guess it could hurt kinda close to eat me but not the same. In the end maybe it is better since it is all about discussion is to just say what is in our heart but keep trying not to be hurtful.

never close because it is just not an expression I would use. I would simply say leave me alone, not bite me.

Leave me alone would be my line too. Bite me is not something I believe I've ever said to anyone but my sister. And lord have mercy, if she were your sister, you'd say it too! lol

I never just use two words! I go into great detail! You push the right button I will write a paragraph on how I see what you just said is bullsh!t and in some occasions why we should just end our friendship. But just use two words? Never.

I have never really understood the term, I know it is rude, but since I don't understand it, I don't use it Now, I know that "fat chance" and "slim chance" mean the same thing, but if you say "there is only a slim chance of something" it doesn't have the same connotations that telling someone "fat chance" does. And, yes, I have used it!

LOL....go for it. It isn't that bad! There are some times when I have actually said that to someone with no regrets. That saying has been around for a long time....so go ahead.....just do it!

I have never gotten to that stage of anger on Mylot. However in real time in my little world I have come very close. In what situations you probably ask. When I have been woke up before I should have been. When I am driving in heavy traffic and some idiot yells at me or honks.

I remember it! When I was a little kid, the reruns of Alice would air early in the mornings before I would go to school.

Yes I have been one to bite my tongue on a few occasions but yes also feel sometimes it needs said but if you hold in it then you dont have to worry about backlash and often come out looking like the bigger person!

I think I actually did say "Bite me!" to one of my friends back in middle school. And, umm, she did. To be perfectly fair, we were both like 13 and this sort of immature behavior was totally normal for us. Since then? No! Though I have been very tempted to say something equal to it, and I can think of an argument that I had with another mylotter where I really wanted to say something downright mean. I did say something pretty rude.

It depends on the situation, if the person is really a provocative person. Then, he can see the sharpness of my ill words. But then, we need to be reasonable and not irrational in everything we do.
