@Shavkat I'm not sure. But then again, I don't remember this taking place lol was a lot time ago. I'm catching up with your posts like I do with a few others so I know this post was from 2012. So hard for me to answer but somewhere answering anyway.

No home advantage for China this time.I think China will lead at first,but USA will catch up,once athletics competitions commence.I don't know if they can overtake China..but it will be a lot closer than last Olympics

I think USA has an edge,though not large but still, over China again this time. What I felt with USA is the diversity. They have proved themselves excellent in every field. With their regular and sincere efforts they are pushing limits in every game. Being dominant in pool events, they are making their chances in many more games. China on the other hand are very good and certain medal winners in some games but then they limit themselves upto it. But still we will see a tough medal fight between two Olympics champion country. Sit back and enjoy.

I think China and the USA ,their strength and the advantage of the situation match each other.In the end of this Olympics we can know the answer.
