When i was a child, i am close to my mother. I would rather choose my mother rather than my father. I can see how my mother works for her best of us. And i seldom get together with my father. But during my college days. I noticed i also had good times with my father. But as time varies so as the relationships varies. Now, if i have to choose between whom i was close to.. I would prefer to be my mother as " Mother knows best " and works BEST and considered BEST among the rest... How about you?

I've always been closer to my mother than I was with my father my whole life. I didnt even meet my father till I was 13 and all he did was take me to a Chicago Bears game. Ive only seen him twice since then and the last time I talked to him was in 2008. But my mother has been there for me my whole life and she is a very strong black woman and she has played the role of mother and father and I have alot of respect for her.

Both are close to my heart, but my Mother is my best friend. We talk about everything. She is always there for me, and understands.

I don't have a father, so it would be my mother.

I loves my mother and my father equally but still i feel i give much more love and care to my mother. There is not much difference between the love which i give to both of them but still it differs. May be the difference is much smaller than a cell in our body.

My mother is close to my heart. From my childhood I only remember it is my mother give me accompany. And I don't like my father because that he is always at home, but to have his fun. I hate this.

Both my mother and father were close to my heart growing up. My dad was working a lot of the time so I think I had more of an appreciation for my mother at the time because she was around more, but now I know better and understand that because he worked so much my mother and I were able to take fun shopping trips together.

My Father passed away when I was really young. I honestly was not that close to my Mother and she has passed away a few yrs ago as well. For most of my life I was really close to my Aunt, we talk alot almot like BFF's now days. I really loved my Grandma when I was small. Though really my Mother, my Aunt, and My Grandmother were the figures in my life.

I can answer this question easily since my father was never really involved in my life. My mother and grandmother raised me, and my father wasn't involved much in my life. He chose another woman over having a relationship with me, so me and him aren't close whatsoever. I don't know where I would be today if my mother had done me the way he did. My mother is my heart.

I have lost my parents.I have been close to my mother, but now I miss both my mother and father a lot.My mother was an extremely sweet, polite and loving lady who was popular not only in my locality, but also in other parts of my hometown. My father was the most respected persons of the district, but he was a dictator by nature. That's why I tried my best to maintain a distance from him.But now after none of my father and mother is with me,I miss both equally.

i am more closer to my mother, since she nurtured us with all her best. She is always at our back through thick or thin. But, I love my father as well, he is a good provider. We may not feel the closeness from him, since he worked so hard to support the family.

for me it's hard to decide coz it could be biased to my father because i did not grew with him around me. You know, he choose his second family, so i grew up with just my mom and siblings with me. Whose the closest to my heart? i think both of them. But if i really had to choose it's my mom because she had sacrificed a lot for me and my sibling. She did all the hard work, but despite all i wish i still have my father with me or us. It's different if there's a father around you. missed my dad! so much!

I'm just like you, I am closer to the IBI, for some reason the mother is beside me, I feel comfortable, perhaps because of the small mom who does everything. But that does not mean my dad did not play a role in cultivate me, my father is also close but not close as a mother. I love my mom and dad but my mother loved me more, because the mother did everything for me.

I am close to both of my parents, and I like to go to them for different things at different times. I can talk to my Mother about anything, but she does have a bit of a short temper and this means that we fall out quite a lot when things get difficult. My Father on the other hand doesn't really like to talk to people, and although I know that he would always be there for me, I also know that there's no way that he would ever be able to talk to me in the same way that my Mother is able to. But I love them both dearly and always want to be there for the pair of them.

I won't choose. I am close with both of them for certain things. For girls' stuff, boys, and things like that I can always tell my mom. And for sharing ideas, things on work place I can always tell my dad. I will always be my dad's daughter, but it doesn't mean I don't love my mom. So...yeah, I won't choose for any reasons.

When my mother is still alive, she is the one who is always around for me. Now, it's my fathers turn, though he is far from me now. Good thing, you remind me of my father through this discussion. One maybe closer to me but I love them both equally.

Well it is very much difficult to choose between father and mother as life can not be imagined without them. But keeping things simpler, i am very much closer to my mother as i feel it easier to share away all my emotions, experiences and feelings with her. She is more or less like a friend and a mentor for me. But i can write off my father who has always supported and encouraged me. So for me both are close to my heart at the end of the day.

When I was a child I am very close with my mother. I think I loved her more than my father. When I was in high school, it was 'neither my moher, nor my father', because I was very occupied with my peers and lovelife. When I was in college, I think it was both of them. When I graduated from college, I appreciated my father very well. He was the one who struggled for my studies. I realized how good as a man and a father he is. I became closer now with my father. As for my mother, there is a wall between us now due to some conflicts.

It is very dificult to distinguish between the love of the father or mother. At the same time it also equally difficult task to rate our love towards our parents. Even I feel when i was a child mother was giving me more love, Henceshe was very close to my heart. But with time a kind of respect grown up towards my father without lessening the respect and love towards mother. Now I just can say that I love both and both are having equal respect and love in my heart. I can't live without them :)
