What is "Apples of Gold"?

Have you heard about the "Apples of Gold"? I am referring to a "tomato", this is a common term for some. Tomatoes are used in our daily living, such as ingredients for menu, side dish, etc. Did you know that tomato is a snack in Korea? They just add sugar and eat it as raw. Some people considered tomatoes as a fruit, in America tomatoes are vegetables. Tomato is a family of berries, since there are seeds inside like the strawberries,then we can make an tomato ice cream out of it. What do you think?

Actually, it is the first time i heard that apples of gold are tomatoes. They say that tomatoes are healthiest when you cook them because during the cooking process, it increases the level of phytochemicals which fights cancer and other diseases. Maybe that is why they are called apples of gold?

tomatoes are fruits, it is not true that in america tomatoes are vegetables it is a scientific fact that they are fruits. my mothers boyfriend takes a whole tomato to work each day and eats it like that, he always eats that one first then some more fruits. it is an excellent diet choice, and also very hydrating. i have never heard the term "apples of gold"
