When I transferred to my husband's house,I found out that he likes hanging posters in his room. A side of his wall was flooded with posters of ragnarok, yu gi oh, flyff, hunter x, slam dunk, rainbow land, forbidden memories and the likes. Although I am not against it, I really hope he could limit the number of poster and would arrange them in a nice way. I have never hanged posters in my room before but I have hanged westlife and bret hart posters inside my closet so that every time I would open my closet, I would see them :D What do you think about hanging posters in your room? Do you do it or you find the room messy?

As a teen my whole room was covered in posters, got to a point where I considered hanging them on the ceiling! But these days I still have a few on my wall but not completely covered. Reason is I can't be bothered taking them all down, a lot have fallen off and I haven't put them back up. When you are single and no one really goes in your room it's OK but if you're married you wouldn't really want posteres everywhere. You can hang a few I guess but not all over the place

I bet you really like hanging posters back then. It maybe hard to hang them on the ceiling :D One side of our room wall is still occupied with posters like they are our wallpaper. I don't think my husband has any plan of removing them. I am thinking if we would just hang our wedding portrait in there. You are right that as a teen, this stage really comes to our lives. Thank you for sharing.

Oh yeah it made my room a happy place to get away from people HAHA. Now that I'm older I don't need them for that purpose but some are just memories as well so I keep them ther and as I said I'm just too lazy to remove them

The posters are for teens, I used to hang them on my room's wall. As we grow older, the passion change, especially the taste of collecting something. At this point of your life, I think we need to leave the old days and face the real thing in marriage life.

Thanks shavkat, you have said it right. When we were teens, we usually collect posters of our favorite bands and artist. I remember hanging poster of Titanic in our door years back. But like you, as we grow older, I no longer do the same thing.

I have the same feeling, I no longer hang posters now but I used to when I was a teenager. I don't know if I can stand scary faces in our room, I am better off with anime posters.

No, it does not make the room look messy, in my opinion. I am a certified framer, so I would suggest that you take them to a framer and have them matted and framed nicely. this would create a more classic atmosphere for your rooms. Many people are fascinated with poster art. for myself, I have a small poster art website at www.pinupposters.webs.com where I just sell posters, so I realize how people feel about them. As a framer I can tell you that many and many people have bedrooms similar to what you describe. My advice, if you ever need it, would be to roll with it. It's cool, if framed correctly, they can become showpieces.

I have seen your sites and it is really cool. I have not thought of bringing them to a framer to make them look nicely. How much would that usually cost? I hope that is not too expensive. I am thinking of doing that on our anniversary. Hope he would appreciate it. Thanks for sharing.

I also hanged posters in my room when I was a teen, but it didn't go to the extent that it has become my wallpaper. I also put them in frames to hang them properly. I used to just use a double sided tape but I noticed it ruins the wall paint. Besides, framing the posters make it a bit more organized and also maintains the posters in a good condition.

Thanks raine, you've got the perfect word for it, it has literally become our room wallpaper. I do know how many frames we will need for all those posters in our rooms. I just hope he would remove some but I think he won't do that because some of the posters in there have autographs. I think they have sentimental value for him. But I would try to suggest that to him so that it would look nicer and not as if we have a huge comics at our room.
