It is called your 'User Rating' and you can read about it (and your 'MyLot Reputation') in the FAQs: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx
Many people think that it is a 'post count' but this is inaccurate because not every post that you make will increase the User Rating. It would be more accurate to call it a 'Discussion count' because it increases by one when you:
1) have posted a discussion which receives either two responses or a response and a comment.
2) make a response to a discussion (but only for the first time you respond to that discussion)
3) comment on someone else's response in a discussion (but again, only for the first time that you do this)
There are certain occasions, therefore, when it can increase by 2 - when you respond to a discussion AND post a comment to someone else's response in that discussion - but, otherwise, it represents the number of discussions you have taken part in.

It's worth mentioning that, if a discussion in which you have been involved (either one that you started or one in which you responded or commented) is deleted, your User Rating will decrease accordingly. This is quite normal and happens to most people - less often, of course, if you understand the Guidelines and avoid posting or responding to discussions which are certain to be deleted.
It is ALSO worth noting that you are paid for every discussion, response or comment that you make (provided that it is of sufficient quality), regardless of whether it increases your User Rating or not, and that there is NO fixed amount 'per post' - the earnings algorithm is far more complex. You cannot simply divide your total earnings by your user rating and say that you earn so much 'per post'!

Hi axai2012,
the number is your user rating which includes both your number of responses and discussions started.
you can get a star once you have a user rating over 100, this number shows how good your responses are. other members can vote + or - beside your discussions and responses.
have fun mylotting! :)
