Has anyone tried using a square umbrella? Do you find it a lot better than the circle one? Hear from you please...

i suffer from eyepokyitis which is the fear of umbrellas. walking along a street when it is raining and trying to avoid old peoples umbrella spokes drives me insane. i've never had a square brolly but i did buy a faulty one that was made upside down so it collected rainwater and became very heavy. my aunt Tabatha was a bit loopy and passed away several years ago after jumping off her roof with an open umbrella because she was obscessed by 'Mary Poppins'. Maybe she should of held on tighter to the brolly because she plummeted to the ground but the brolly was found 3 miles away.

eyepokyitis, I knew there was a name for it!. Even on the hottest day, and then just a hint of rain those damn things just appear out of no where. Where do people hide them?

I have never seen a square umbrella nor have heard about it. It is certainly not available in my country. If will be sold in my country I will not buy it as I will funny with it. I prefer using my round umbrella.

Hi This is the first time I have heard of square umbrellas. I have never seen anyone carrying it nor are they available at shops here. It seems interesting to me. I like buying new designs and colors in umbrellas. When we visit hill stations we always buy umbrellas from there as they are different from what we get here. They come with beautiful frills and long handles sometimes. I do hope I spot a square one so that I may buy one.

yes i always feel circle is quite better since it will prevent rain from getting inside and much more comfortable to sport and easy to bend and use rathen a square one.the circle is elite since more than one no of people can accomodate it.so always stereotype is always nice

Honestly, I haven't seen one. It would definitely catch my attention if I see one. The square ones I've seen are those being used by outdoor cafes, and those being used by ambulant vendors. In the Philippines, you will see many of these during All Saints Day, in the cemeteries.

have not tried it, but I've seen other people wearing square umbrella. Very funny, or maybe I am not accustomed to seeing such a thing. I was thinking, how to square umbrella to protect them evenly?
