Are you a wasteful person?

When it comes to using paper, I hesitate a lot because I will end up with lots of used paper (back and front used with no empty space) and I probably don't know what to do with it. (There's no recycling center in my area).
Same goes with money. I don't simply spend my money. (Tend to hesitate on buying books because it seem expensive to me even though I want that book)
There are many other things as well that I don't want to waste as well like food.
I know I have to relax and not be overly worried about being wasteful but sometimes it can't be help when you sometimes ended up with useless things in the house.
So are you the opposite of me?

I try as hard as I can not to be wasteful. Not having much money really does a lot to make you more frugal.
I use every INCH of free space on a sheet of paper before I go to throw it away. Most of the time, when I print things out that I don't have to give to anyone, I print it on the back of paper that I've used before.
Now, with books, I try to look for ones that have a discount or are on sale or something like that. Sometimes, I spare no expense on books, because I love them so much. I know I'm going to get my money's worth out of them, so I don't worry about it.
Recently, I've been blowing a bit of extra money on fast food, just because I don't feel like sacrificing time to get up earlier to make food when I can just pay a little extra and have someone else cook for me. I still use coupons, though.
So, in some ways, I'm a little bit wasteful, but I really try hard not to be.

Hey, cheer up! You, being conscious of wasting too much resources, is enough to initiate change - from yourself, and then to encourage the people around you to also avoid wasting. I am constantly trying to save and also supporting organizations that help conserve resources. In my own household, I practice the same cautiousness in the use of almost EVERYTHING. I also teach all the members of the family, even the kids at their young age, to be aware of how we help save our environment through simple things.
In our company too,it is part of our annual Performance Appraisal if we were able to practice and encourage resource conservation inside the office. We even need to hype critical incidences when we did so aside from the personal observation of our immediate superior. This may seem awkward but actually, it gives self-fulfillment and inner joy to us knowing that we play our part to help and save Mother Earth. =)

you are kind of like me. i don't like wasting food, or anything. i am practical most of the time. maybe you can take the papers home and maybe you can do something about it?
when it comes to food, i try to finish everything because i feel bad it is just going to waste. so even if i am already full, i force myself to finish it

Hi friend, i am an organized person and not interested in wasting, as we are working hard to make money, so we must use it in a good way and avoid unwanted spending. I like to buy cheap and best things, not interested in spending more for expensive things

Before, I used to be a wasteful person. I don't care if I overuse the paper. I don't even wanted to recycle the paper. But, when I had seen the life of other people in a poor country. I suddenly had the striking impact, they are not fortunate to avail papers. It takes a longer time for them to have it, waiting for donations as reinforcement. So I started to be a resourceful person.

i think that is how it should be with all of us when it comes to usages of available resources as we did pay for them after all, actually even if we didn't we shouldd always have considerations for those who have spent for them. i hate wastages and i am always the kind to always try to put wastes at a minimum, especially with food and all. When it comes to my spending habits, i would of coourse always take into considerations how i am able to save money and have something left for myself in times of need, of course...

I am certainly not and I abhor wastage! I conserve all resources and try to find other purposes for things that would otherwise go to waste. For example, the small basin of soapy water I used to soap the dishes in would be used to wash the table rags. And after the table rags that water would be poured into the mop bucket and used to soap the mop. And finally that soapy water would go to the toilet and would be used to clean it!
I dislike wasting paper so I do not buy planners with lines and dates. I just like the blank notebooks which I can fill with notes from top to bottom. On some days I write a lot, and on some days just a few lines. I don't want to have one whole page dedicated to a specific date, and only a few notes in it. I also use both sides of writing paper.
I am able to get a shower with just a pail of water. In here we use pails and dippers as water does not really come out of the shower fixture. I pour water on myself slowly in order not to waste much.

I am just the same.I hate wasting. If I could recycle just about anything then I would. If I could not spend for something because I really don't need it then I would not. We do actually waste a lot... from money to food to clothing , to things around our home. But it is about time to think twice before wasting. Time is hard so we have to save and make the most of everything.

I use a lot of paper. i always seem to have something to write down and i make a lot of lists. I try not to waste any paoer though. I will use every bit of it in any way that I can. I hate to throw away a piece of paper that I only needed a couple of lines for.

I'm not a wasteful person i usually recycle a things that can be useful because i don't want to spent more money just to buy a new things. but i usually buy thing if I'm really attracted to the particular things. In your case its not bad to waste but try to minimize it.

We don't waste a lot, we recycle and we try to use every piece of food- even those small odds and ends
As far as buying things like books, have you thought about going to a used book store?

I try not to waste much, I know at work they use water bottles over and over again and will then actually use them by cutting them down and putting nails in them if they have extra ones they hope to use on another job that may be coming up. I have a gatorade bottle on my desk that is filling up with soda tabs for a young girl in the area and at least i used a bottle to use for soda tabs.
Now on paper at work. We use alot of paper and when i have paper im throwing away i try not to throw it away if i dont need to. We use alot of scap paper here and if one side of the paper has nothing on it i will cut it in half and use it later to write notes on or something so it doesnt go to waste.
Using what you can is better than having to waste your money on note pads and sticky notes and what not.

I am when it comes to some things, but with other things I am really not. So it very much depends on what we are talking about. I am trying to become more careful with most things though, so I am working on the things I tend to be kind of wasteful about at least.

you seem to be my online twin lol, , I also don't waste things. i am no praising myself, but I don't spend on clothes when I have more than enough and i also save on food- hen I got married my husbands family members used to simply waste coffee by making it too much and no one was there to drink it, so i changed all that and I also, (I hope it is no getting boring) write on the computer only to save both paper and time to retype it on the computer. I am also trying to search for more ways of saving things.

You're doing fine, sometimes we never even realize that we managed to "waste" some stuff. As long as you don't throw stuff left and right without second thought if you can still use it in some other way, you're already far off better in conservation than most people in this planet.
Do not miss out on your simple pleasures in life because you think you should save everything; once in a while indulgence in things that we like the most, like books, is okay to reward us for working hard. If you want to prioritize saving then do so and if you have some spare try to pamper yourself a bit.
More than the finite resources that you have, you alo have to take care not to waste your most important possession: yourself. Don't waste your time feeling bad or worried about everything. :)
